I have realy done it this time
Advantages: Small, easily carried Disadvantages: no case or earphones as supplied
...Amazon where I found the Shinco models. You may not have heard of them but I understand that they are an OEM manufacturer and are the maker of some other famous brands (which ones I do not know but have heard Toshiba, Walmart, Bestbuy, Audiovox, Hyundai, RCA, Thomson and Sharp). They do appear to manufacture most of the units sold in the world and have received some very good reviews worldwide.
They do have a higher contrast ratio on screen than ... ...This model is a Shinco 5" portable.
What you get in the box is the set. A mains adaptor, a charger unit and a lithium battery that takes 6 hours to charge and should last for 2.5 hrs of playing. There is also a remote control, a lead to attach to a car cigarette lighter and leads to attach to TV or TV and Stereo units. You do a get a 12 mth guarantee, but this has to be sent to Singapore. They do not do an on-site repair service, well sending a ...

Mobile movies
Advantages: portable ,affordable and it looks good Disadvantages: no divx playback or case
...Now i've had alba products in the past so i have found that this brand does offer affordable products that work well and are quite durable, one of their main features is that they market most of their products at the budget end of the scale so you are usually not disappointed by the lack of advanced features because you won't have spent a fourtune on the product in the first place.
The player-
when i saw the player my first impression was how good ... ...surprisingly better built than its price reflected,it's build quality was very good and the smoothed edges made the product feel and look like a more expensive portable dvd.

Panasonic DVD-LS5
Advantages: Small, handy, portable, great picture quality Disadvantages: limited viewing screen, battery doesn't last long
I actually bought one two years ago owing to my fascination of handy and portable gizmos. I feel in love with this one the first time I saw it. I bought one for £265 set to Multi-Region. It comes with a remote control, video-lead extension, battery and main power adpator.
It sure was quite handy, it can play MP3, show JPEG images and of course play audio CDs,VCDs and DVDs. The only downside was the battery, it doesn't last very long, 2 hours the ... ...that lasts longer than 2 hours but it was kinda expensive so I haven't coonsidered getting one.
At this time, this unit actually costs less than £100 now as there are other better and bigger (in terms of screen size) portable DVD players out in the market.
Before buying this, consider other products first in terms of features and quality .... then think about getting your money's worth! ...

Cool dvd player, wish it had a bigger screen
Advantages: style and design, tinyness, dual ability CD/DVD Disadvantages: small screen
After having this particular DVD player for 2 years, I can say it's good, and is very robust, but it's not as good as the DVP-FX1 I bought. The reason? The screen! It's sooo tiny! The styling of this is unique and well.. unsurpassed... I liked it so much, I actually bought two of them whilst I was last out in Japan. I bought this for around £550 whilst out there, thereby saving at least £300. The player is region 2 again, but that's no prob, but ... ...There are no external speakers for this, so headphones must be used. The screen is attached to a long cord, which helpfully can be detatched if you're using this solely as a CD player.
The screen is tiny, which is a shame, so if you're planning to watch anything with subtitles on forget it! you won't be able to watch it!
The screen, althought tiny is good and the colours are nice and vibrant. The viewing angle isn't too great, but this isn't really ...

Great for vacations!
Advantages: easy to carry, use, great for a trip away Disadvantages: Screen size maybe a little small
I am a proud owner of this portable DVD player. I purchased this product in Gibraltar for around £220. I was persuaded by its ease of transportation and the fact that I was told that it was a multi-region DVD player (able to play DVDs from all 6 regions in the world, including America. I find this DVD player very easy to use and operate, although the screen may be just a tad on the small side, I can still see the screen OK when in front of me. I ... ...well on an aircraft due to the high engine noise levels. The buttons on the right hand of the clearly state what they are for and it is very easy to change display settings and to view the menu. There is a slide on the front of the player which you have to move to the right in order to open the disc holder. I found the screen to be very adjustable and able to twist forward and backward with and rotate and around an axis very well. The only disappointment ...
