Portable DVD player AHOY Advantages: Cheap, Easy to use Disadvantages: None really ...up. I chose the Mustek MP 70 D as it seemed like a good buy at just under £150 and it was a brand i was familiar with as they make scanners. The great thing about portable DVD players is that it can keep you occupied on a long trip. Since it has an integrated screen,it is no surprise they are becoming very popular-especially when you consider that DVD films are so cheap to buy nowadays with prices starting from around £1!!. ------------------- ... ...when i go on train trips as i travel quite a lot. I usually charge it up or run it from the mains and plus in my headphones into the headphone jack so i can listen to it quite easily without annoying other passengers with the noise. It is pretty portable as it weighs 800 grams on its own and it can be stored fairly easily. I have found this product very easy to use. On board entertainment Advantages: brightens up a long journey Disadvantages: sound quality could be a lot better ...getting one. I bought the Mustek MP 80 portable DVD player a few months ago and have loved taking it away with me for entertainment purposes. It comes with a great little carry case and a remote control with the same functions as an average DVD player. Just think you are going on that long trip away and you need some entertainment to keep you occupied. Take a set of DVD's and a portable DVD player to pass the time. This sexy little silver gadget ... ...*APPEARANCE* The Mustek DVD player is silver in colour and I like this as I believe silver looks modern and goes with most household appliances. The DVD player is less than a kilogram in weight which makes it quite light to carry and use. It is about 20cm wide so fits in most DVD carriers. Unfortunately the DVD player did not come with a carry case. NO MORE "ARE WE THERE YET?" Advantages: Keeps the Kids Quiet on Journeys. Widescreen Disadvantages: None, yet. We were looking for one of these for a long time, and eventually found this on the internet. I checked out a few prices and reviews, after all, we had never heard of "Mustek", but this machine seemed to be highly thought of and well priced. We got it for £179.99, but I forget where from. The dvd player plays everything perfectly. Picture quality is great, and sound is just enough for its size. It comes with an adaptor to plug into the cigarette lighter, ... ...and lasts about 3 hours, plenty of time for a film to play. The best thing however is the fact that it is a widescreen dvd player. The screen is 7 inches wide, and if you think that most dvd's are produced in this format, it makes perfect sense. Some of the cheaper portable players are in 4:3 format. This was a godsend on holiday this year, as the kids could watch a film on the journey, and whilst waiting at the port to embarck. Disadvantages: It is a bit expensive This is a quality Item from Mustek, I purchased it a few weeks ago, and have enjoyed using it. It fits perfectly onto my car seat.
