Terrific Toshiba
Advantages: Easy to use, lightweight and stylish Disadvantages: Better speaker volume
...I chose the Toshiba DVD player as I have heard some great things about the company. I thought that a product supplied by a reputable company would be sure to provide hours of entertainment and it certainly has. It looks good and is not too heavy which is obviously very good when you are carrying it around. The screen is 7 inches wide which makes for good viewing; I could easily see the screen. I did like the silver appearance as it made it look quite ... ...up and the instructions were very easy to read and follow. I liked the remote control as it made skipping the DVD and changing the volume easy. I rarely needed to change the volume as the loudest setting was still quite low. I like to store my holiday snaps on disk and the remote control made viewing these pictures a lot easier. I could also rotate the pictures. The screen resolution is 480 x 234 which is standard for most items such as this with ...

Toshiba SD-P1600
Advantages: Well made, good features, light weight, plays all discs. Disadvantages: Battery looks like an after thought.
...this compact little device from Toshiba takes a lot of beating. Compared to the competition its not the cheapest on the market but it is one of the best. Its 9" screen may look small but it is of great quality & handles all movies I have watched on it without any compromises. The top mounted DVD lid is hinged from the rear making loading & unloading discs very easy. A simple on/off switch is situated on the left hand side with the volume control ... ...good, although light weight, it does have a quality feel about it, just as you would expect from Toshiba. I bought my player on line as none of the high street stores stocked it, this Toshiba DVD player has proved faultless & is highly recommended by me. ...
