Quite cute, but a tad on the expensive side Advantages: Compact, includes Digital tuner, can be used in cars Disadvantages: not tiny, no battery compartment, fairly basic specification The inlaws acquired one of these little beauties recently, and I had an opportunity to try it out, and was mightily impressed! The unit is a no-frills flat panel TV receiver with external power supply, it features analogue and digital TV tuners, which will receive all Frieeview channels, and has AV input (for camcorders, VCRs or DVDs) as well as a VGA port for attaching as a PC monitor. There's no facility to insert a 'CAM' module, so you're denied the opportunity to use Top-Up TV. Construction and build quality is a little 'plasticy' - the casing is sprayed silver, and shows no indication of being able to sustain 'hard knocks'. CLIOD 10.4 inch Wireless TV Advantages: Unique solution / Good screen / Flexible inputs / Simple to use. Disadvantages: Interference/No remote extender/No external antenna connector/Increased price As far as I know, this gadget is unique and is a genuinly useful idea. We've always wanted some sort of screen in the kitchen so whoever's doing jobs in there doesn't miss out on what the rest of the family are watching in the lounge. But never found the right solution because our large kitchen and all-round work surfaces means that there's nowhere you can wire up a TV neatly and have it in view all the time. We've tried normal TVs and video senders ... ...boxes and trainling wires meant it was inconvenient to move around and looked unsightly. This seemed to be the perfect answer, because the TV and video receiver are built into one unit, so can always be placed in view of wherever you're working. The receiver is nicely designed in white and black "ipod style", and looks at home in a modern kitchen. An amazing DVD screen for any holiday! Advantages: Lovely large screen adn great quality feel to it!! Disadvantages: None ...and CD-R. It even has a USB port It has power supply for car and mains so is pretty versatile too. Nextbase TVM57-D Advantages: You can take anywhere, great picture on digital Disadvantages: digital coverage, batterylife I expressed my view to having one of these and low and behold one turned up for my birthday this year. Reason for wanting one was because sitting outside shops waiting for the wife or children at after school clubs I had nothing to do. I started watching a little analogue TV but that soon died a death so I reverted to a portable DVD player but you can only watch so films twice. HENCE!!! This T.V not only picks up your normal analogue T.V (BBC,ITV,etc) ... ...including Sky news, Sky 3, E4, all extra BBC and ITV channels. The TV comes as a LCD 7 inch screen which is encased in a black soft rubber outer casing that also houses the speakers and controls at the front with the volume on the side. The TV has a pullout tilt stand that pulls out from the back and locks. It comes with a very slim remote control that has all the usual features on it that comes with a battery.
