NAPA DAV 311
Advantages: Plays mp3s, CDs and VCDs.
Disadvantages: Poor playback of VCDs.
I bought the Napa DAV 311 from Dabs for about £80 because I discovered that our £500 sony DVD system would not play recordable CDs. This appeared to be the perfect product to play all my home movies that I had recorded as Video CDs.

WHY ON EARTH HAS NO-ONE REVIEWED THIS
Advantages: VCD/CD/MP3 Playback And iR Remote
Disadvantages: Bad headphones, Over heating Adapter
I am amazed that no-one has done a review on this thing! Its more or less like the DAV-310, but from my point of view, this newer player can read far more mp3 cd's than the 310.
Style wise, its blue not orange, may seem like a small change on paper, buts ...

DAV311 Don't touch this with a bargepole
Advantages: Low Price
Disadvantages: Anti Shock is Pants

Cheap isn't always good...
Advantages: Good value for money (at the time), feature-packed
Disadvantages: Some quite big problems
Two years ago, the Napa DAV310 was one of the first MP3/CD players on the market. Its RRP was about £120, and I bought mine for £85 - which is not too bad, even by today's standards.
