Market leading by merit?
Review of Apple iPod classic 80 GB by
readie25
Advantages: Easy to use, great screen, robust
Disadvantages: Putting videos onto device is difficult, no mains charger
The Apple iPod remains largely the industry yardstick by which mp3 players are measured, and for good reason. Good battery life, great storage capacity for the size, and excellent presentation and accessibility are now common throughout the iPod range. Headphone sound quality, however, is tragically average.
However, there are also systemic drawbacks to the Apple range - first and foremost the iTunes store and obscure filetypes required by the iPod ... ...usability of the product that Apple so readily extols. Once the video is on the device, it does becomes easy to navigate through, but the battery life does suffer.
The iPod remains the market leader, but perhaps because of a head start and initial monopoly of the market, rather than by its own merits. ...

Ipod shuffle.
Review of Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB by
sophie1311
Advantages: The clip feature and sound quality.
Disadvantages: Not many features
I love my ipod shuffle. I do have an ipod nano as well, but I find that i'm using the shuffle more and more over the nano. Firstly I find that the size and design of the shuffle (clip feature) is far more useful than the nano, it means you don't have to worry about having a pocket to put it in and is particularly useful for situations like the gym. You also don't have to worry about the screen getting scratched as obviously there isn't one!
The ... ...it needs recharging. I paid £22 for mine off bigpockets when they were selling all the old models off cheaper which is no doubt an absolute bargain. I also feel that the sound quality is as good as all the other Ipod types. The choice of colours is also good so you can pick one to suit your style.
The thing with the shuffle is you obviously don't know what song is going to come next, so I make sure that I only put my favourite songs on it in groups ...

iPod Nano
Review of Apple iPod nano RED Special Edition 8GB by
Scorpio159
Advantages: Small, Lightweight, Bright 1.5" screen, Bold colour.
Disadvantages: HAVE to install iTunes on your computer, maybe too thin?
This is porbably the best MP3 player you can ever buy. This 8GB Red iPod Nano is a special edition of the favoured Nano. It can store up to 4,000 songs. It is not too small, and it isn't ridiculously big like some iPods. The sound quality is superb and you can also add pictures, contacts and notes. You can use the notes application for lyrics on the go. The interface is simple and efficient. It is available in a range of very bold, lush colours. ... ...sometimes grab them at a bargain on the internet. Very lightweight and sleek. It is actually thinner than a standard pencil, but it won't snap is you sit on it, as it has a aluminium case that is built to last. You can also buy an adaptor for the wireless headphones feature. This iPod is everything from the previous generation, but with much more class and sofistication. It is definitley a great MP3 player for anyone. ...

The shuffle.
Review of Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB by
sophieansell
Advantages: small.
Disadvantages: 1gb.
I love design of the new shuffle, perfect for on the go. Great for use when excercising but I wouldn't use it as a full time mp3 player due to it only having 1GB. Only holding 240 songs isn't really perfect for somebody who enjoys having a large variation of music on their iPod but is perfect as a present for a youngster. The price is perfect for somebody who is on a tight buget and for someone who isn't attached to their mp3 twenty four seven. I ...

Ipod shuffle Green
Review of Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB by
Howie24
Advantages: Small, excellent sound quality and easy to use
Disadvantages: None
The Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB is small, stylish and extremley easy to use.
This was my first ever iPod I bought and as Iam not very electronically minded I thought I would not be able to upload songs or use it for that matter.
With just the iPod shuffle, doc to plug into your computer to upload the songs you want and earphones, you cannot go far wrong.
I have so far uploaded 150 songs and the sound quality is fantastic. I use my iPod shuffle everytime ...
