Disadvantages: in-built battery, shiny surface always shows finger prints, scratches are really noticeable.

I bought this thing because my old tatty mp3 player with a smashed up screen stopped working. i bought a few really cheap things before it but they didn't really work, one even crashed my computer every time i plugged it in so i opted to spend a bit more and hopefully get something a bit better. usually i think you're paying more just for a brand name but not in this case. overall i love the thing, it fits my needs really well and every time i use ...

...better off looking at another Creative player or even another brand. It does not seem to have the sleak appeal of other products on the market. Sound quality appears to be of a good standard however this does not make up for its weaknesses in other areas. The joystick is fairly small and has a cheap plastic feel to it. The zen V is a fantastic little gadget, It has a music player, line in recorder, microphone recorder, calender/organiser and a photo viewer and removable harddrive. The sound quality is crystal clear and even the standard headphones dont need to be changed. . The battery does last the advertised 20 hours!
