The Reliable and Trustworthy IRiver
Review of IRiver H10 6 GB Midnight blue by danny2k80

Advantages: Relaible, Cheap, Quick, Easy to Use, Easy Connection and Useful Features
Disadvantages: Lack of Games Features

i bought my 6 GB Iriver H10 two years ago for £80 and it is worth every penny. I didn't want to buy an Ipod as i had heard they involved a lot of software and connecting, adn so i opted for the IRiver as it uses Media Player and connects with one cable. The transmission speeds are very good anda full album can be sent over in 2 minutes. i have dropped it several times and the battery has never become loose, imy screen is undamaged and unscratched ...
...it. The reformatting of the IRiver is quick and very easy and the other features of the IRiver are very useful. I use the text for reading short stories and i use the radio to listen to my favourite frequencies. Although the IRIver lacks the games and quiz feature i still believe it is great value for money. ... Read review

A brilliant multi-media player!
Review of IRiver U10 1 GB by Tof17

Advantages: Great design, tiny, user friendly, top quality sound
Disadvantages: PC compatible only

The iRiver U10 1GB is a really good product. I got it as a gift over a year ago now and I just feel this multi-function media player went from strength to strength in the way I've been using it. At first I was mostly using it as an MP3 player but there is so much more to that small device I now wish I had a model with a larger capacity. It comes with headphones, remote control and TV cradle (although I understand this is optional). Adequate USB ...
...is quite refreshing to see iRiver with its U10 and other devices, have managed to design a nice range of attractive and performant products. It's the perfect travel companion. I'm definitely recommending the U10, the quality you get for that price range is hard to come by on the market, so thumbs up for me! ********** Music: Reads MP3 and WMA formats Great sound quality ********** Flash Games: there are a few games like 'Launch Fighters', ... Pushing the limits of the MP3 player format
Review of iRiver H120 by JakeyA

Advantages: Practically anything is possible! (as far as recording/playing music is concerned)
Disadvantages: Some may find the H120 hard to use

...where Apple falls behind iRiver - It is easy to believe that Apple's machine is more fun, as it has so many accessories available for purchase - what one realises in buying the iRiver is that equivalents of most of the accessories available for the iPod are *already included* with the iRiver H120, thus increasing the already significant price margin between the iPod and the iRiver: I bought my H120 for £199. An equivalent iPod with 20 gigs of HD ...
...that I emailed to the iRiver support staff. I am still awaiting a reply. Another potential downside to the player is its connectivity with the PC. It has a USB connection (1.1/2.0) but unfortunately there is no software included. However, the lack of software can be a blessing - it means that transfer to the device is as easy as finding the file, right clicking and choosing 'Send to.. -> iRiver (Drive [x]:)' Other than these small quibbles, I am ... The iRiver
Review of IRiver H-120 20 GB by arattan

Advantages: memory capacity, overall look
Disadvantages: navigation of menu, headphone quality

My iRiver has a 20gb hard drive. It only cost me £199 and they are even cheaper now, although this model seems to be hard to get hold of. The hp-120 has more features than you know what to do with. It comes with an internal and external mic. This means that you can not only record as you would with a dictaphone, for as long as you desire, but you can also record live with excellent sound quality! I have found this incredibly useful in lectures or ...
...you want. The iRiver comes with a built in FM radio, and although it occasionally goes fuzzy, the overall reception is outstanding. To control the device you ahve to use a jog type button on the front of the handset, and it is not that easy to move around if you have clumsy fingers! You click to start the meni=u screen, then move it up and down to navugate. There is also an excellent remote that performs EVERY feature on the device, and has a mini ... Read review

iRiver H340…Much Better Than An iPod!
Review of IRiver H340 40 GB by Deru

Advantages: 40GB storage, Supports various audio formats, Colour LCD screen, 12 hour battery life for audio, watch AVI movies, Includes lots of accessories
Disadvantages: Bit on the pricey side, Slow boot up, Only AVI supported, small screen, A bit chunky, movies not as smooth

The iRiver H340 Multi-Codec Jukebox, which is basically something like an iPod but with a difference. It has built-in FM Tuner and you can watch movies on it! • • • WHY DID I BUY IT? • • • This seems to be the age of the iPods but I’m not a fan of the iPod because of the battery life and because everyone’s got one. It’s a fashion statement. You’re walking down the street, you see people with the white earphones and they’re everywhere! I thought ...
...fans). My friend bought an iRiver and told me about it. He told me it could play MP3’s and even movies. I looked it up, and read a review about it, after that, I had to get one! • • • WHAT WERE MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS? • • • The player fits nicely in my hand. It looks good but it’s bulkier than its 40GB rival, the Apple iPod and is about twice the depth but it does have an LCD colour screen and lots of features. The exterior is made from carbon fibre ...
