Quality on the cheap
Advantages: Very cheap! Disadvantages: Bit basic, no remote, non rechargeable
...the £100 mark so as Sony MDs go thats pretty damn good as its recordable. The sound quality is brilliant which at the end of the day is what i bought the thing for. Its got long play so you can fit up to 4 albums on it, think thats 300mins of music or something like that!
The only trouble is, i'm a bit of a gadget man and love to fiddle with gizmos. And the thing is with this one, there's not a lot to mess with! There's no remote which is a right ... ...out into broad daylight, and risk getting it stolen just to nudge the volume up or to change tracks. Thats not my only complaint. It uses standard AA batteries so unless you have your own batteries and charger, it'll gobble up Duracells no problem! You get a fair amount out of a standard battery but i reckon in the 2 years i've had it i've spent just as much on them as i have the flippin MDman. Apart from adjusting the bass, and juggling the tracks ...

mini disc recorder
Advantages: sound is very good Disadvantages: limited storage
...plus transformed. From the Sony Stage software 2.1, also a direct transmission with PCM sound should be possible. The Sony Stage software is to be served very simply. CD very simply can be balanced out and can be transferred then to the Players connected at the USB Port. A simple Burner software is include also, singe directly records that that the CD, without that they must be balanced out not until the software. Normal Minidiscs become umformatiert ... ...The Sony MZ-NH700 can be furnished with normal Alkaline battery (Mignon) or the enclosed rechargeable battery with current for underway. The loading of the rechargeable battery goes relatively quickly (ca. 60 minutes). These "holds" would be also several hours, it then, the device is connected to the PC and singe be transmitted. Connect then rather the network device. I only can say that Sony with this device is arrive a grandiose gem. Hi-MD with ...

I love my MD player
Advantages: Great sound quality Disadvantages: Battery life is a bit limited
Looks
This is an attactive MD. It has the screen at a jaunty 45 degree angle, which I find pleasing, and the buttons are all easy to use. It comes with a remote control, which is also useful, and has it's own screen, so you can still see the track titles etc when the main player is in a case.
Cost
I was given this MD as a present a year ago, but I believe they are currently about £60. I think this is great value for money, as you get a good range ... ...with software (PC and MAC compatible) to put downloads onto mini discs, which is especially helpful, and can also be used as a medium to play music on your computer. I find the software itself easy to use when I am recording and transfering things. You can use it to record from CDs as well as from downloads, and it is pretty quick. It makes naming tracks a lot less fiddly as you canjust type all the information in on the computer rather than using ...

A good experience in the world of portable music
Advantages: easy to use, good battery life Disadvantages: cannot match up to new models
i purchased a minidisc player mainly because i could plug it into my computer and use it basically as an mp3 player whilst also being able to record from a microphone or everyday cd player. After 5minutes looking around the sonicstage software that comes with the player i found it very easy to use, and also a very good media player alternative on the pc. The player is very small so easily fits into pockets and comes with a handy rechargable battery ... ...this steadily decreases as with all rechargeable batteries but lasts very well. The player is also very tough, having lasted many hours being bashed around in my pocket on bmx rides or on the floor of my car rattling around. Of course it will eventually break but it will stand up to a lot and wont jump whilst playing. The main advantage a minidisc player has is that is much smaller than a portable cd player, is much easier and better quality than ...
