Absolute Bargain
Advantages: Own docking charger and can be found as Low as £99 Disadvantages: Track title input through remote only
Having lost my minidisc a while ago i came across this model for £220 through the web. I wanted a model with LP capability and this seemed the best value. Then i found it in richer sounds for £99 a month ago!! (August 2003). ABSOLUTELY made up and bought it on the spot. Excellent sound quality and with the LP facility i can record up to three albums on one disc! which saves on carrying lots of delicate small discs around uni. sound leakage is there ...

Mini-Disc Player
Advantages: Cheap, good sound quality, ease of use Disadvantages: could look better, no remote control
I bought this Mini-Disc player/recorder after having several CD players that all broke after less than a year. When I got it I was surprised at how small it was, and also happy that it didn’t have a compartment for the battery sticking out the top. Instructions I found recording my first Mini-Disc very easy all I had to do was follow the step-by-step instructions that were supplied on a different sheet of paper from the instruction manual. This page ... ...The instruction manual was also very easy to understand and was also laid out in a step-by-step style making using the Mini-Disc player very easy. Recording Recording is very good and there is a choice of length which I find very useful. There are four recording modes, Stereo, LP2, LP4 and Mono. Stereo is 80mins long and has very good sound quality, LP2 is 160mins long and has good sound quality and LP4 is 320mins long and has ok sound quality. The ...

Advantages: small, light, excellent battery life, good sound quality Disadvantages: not net md, takes time to record of stereo
i've owned one of these for about two years now. it has been droped on numerous occasions and has ben in adverse weather conditions (one of the set backs living in the uk) and yet it still produces the good. the trebles are cruchy the bass has clarity and clout. as for the battery life, it's excellent. the only thing is the fact it is not net MD, as you have to wait for the CD to play through for it all to be recorded. the LP function also good but ...

Everything I wanted in a MIniDisc Player
Advantages: Easy to use, Disadvantages: No Group Feature
...It's also worth buying the Sharp Detachable AA Battery case (serial number ADM18BC) to lengthen the battery life and allow you to power it with AA batteries in case you don't have the charger with you. Before I bought it I read some reviews which said that it had a group feature but it doesn't, so if you have a lot of tracks on a minidisc it takes a bit of time to find a specific album/track. Advantages are:
+Hold feature
+3-Level Bass boost
+Optical ...

Sharp MD MT877H - MiniDisc recorder
Advantages: Small, light, good battery life Disadvantages: small buttons, poor instructions
...of MP3 songs, and the Sharp records them no problem. This is useful for people like myself who's music library is now mainly in MP3 format. In long play mode, you can easily record 25+ tracks. As a mature university student I also use the Sharp to record lectures, just plug in a mic and press record.
The recorder comes complete with a mains power adaptor, docking/charging station, re-chargable battery, and a clip on battery box which holds 1 AA ... ...headphones included are not up to much, but you can unplug them from the remote control lead and use good quality headphones if you wish.
This model is no longer manufactured, but you can still pick them up used and new on places like ebay.
Its a dinky little thing, a real "toy for a boy" and well worth buying, and its low weight and size combined with good battery life is great for someone like me who is an active hill walker, and enjoys listening ...
