IPOD Touch (2nd Gen) well worth the money Advantages: Big, bright screen, easy to use and sleek Disadvantages: Short battery life and complicated Wi-Fi system The new Ipod Touch is fantastic. After having an Ipod Nano for over a year I was given a Touch for Christmas and it's definetly in my top ten. The screen is extremely responsive to the thouch, however, it doesn't work if you're wearing gloves which can be quite annoying having to take your glove off all the time. As usal the booklet it comes with isnt very informative, but it's very easy to work your way around. The music section is much easier ... ...want, as it shows both the track and artiists names. The 'On the Go' function is much improved as you can add/remove tracks at any time. In music playback, it shows the album/single cover if its been downloaded from I-tunes which is a nice touch. It also has a microphone so you can listen to your music without headphones. The video playback is excellent, you can watch films easily and select which chapters you want to watch. The best yet Advantages: Simple and easy to use, well designed, small and lightweight, excellent sound quality Disadvantages: None I already own an Apple Ipod (classic version with a high capacity) and love having my high capacity Ipod but was looking into getting something smaller and lighter for if I am going out to exercise or if I am travelling to meet mates for a night out as I love to listen to music on my way to these nights out but also want a player which I can put in a pocket and not have to worry about weighing me down or being too obvious to others so I picked up ... ...trip up to my nearest Apple store. After purchasing the player the first thing I was struck with was the sleek design which makes this a very small player and extremely lightweight. u2 can have an Ipod like Bono Advantages: storage Disadvantages: price ...they have teamed up with Apple and made the U2 special edition. You can see from the photo what it looks like - black with a red dial, and the band's autographs are lasered onto the back. It's a snazzy look, that will make you stand out in the crowd. What else? Great device when you´re on the move! Advantages: Good screen, large storage space, nice case Disadvantages: Menus slow to navigate ...this to replace my old vosonic VP6230 drive, as the battery life was getting poor and it only had an 80GB hard drive. The VP8860 takes up to a 500GB drive, which is what mine is fitted with. Compared to my old drive, the screen is fantastic - 4.3 inches. It´s got a larger range of functions, though I can´t say that I find it very easy to navigate the menus. It weighs around 450g. The drive´s main function is to backup and store files and photos. ... ...a SD/MMC card slot. The system for doing this is fairly straightforward - a prompt comes up when you put the card in, asking you whether you want to back-up or not, and cards are then backed up to the backup folder. The drive can also be connected to a computer via USB. I found this drive considerably quicker at backing up my SD cards than the older drive, and copying files to and from a computer hard drive is also fairly quick.
