The Creative Zen is seen as an iPod competitor, but I don't think it will overtake the iPod any time soon. The player is very nice and the price is quite low compared to iPods. I recieved this product as a gift last year and still use it on a daily basis, It has great picture quality and also serves as a very good mp3 player. I was reluctant to buy the I-Pod because it keeps changing so much so I decided to go for the cheaper option which is the Goodman GMP38G6. It's got really good quality sound and the headphones are very comfortable. The menus are very difficult to navigate and Goodman's should work on this. But what archos have done is (unless you want to charge up using your computer) make you buy a £30 - £50 pound dock to charge it up on after the £180 you originally spend.
