Teac SL D 90
Review of Teac SL-D 90 by Rblock

Advantages: Sheer good quality honest sound reproduction, and the base woofers for such a small unit are exceptional.
Disadvantages: None

...just the right size and has the necessary functions for operation. The CD player is very accurate and has the most brilliant sound and this in a unit that cost less than £100 pounds. Overall it does a great job, and is a wonderful advertisement for the Teac brand name. ... Read review

Reliable and soon-to-be retro radio
Review of Panasonic RF-3500 by fmml

Advantages: It just keeps going!
Disadvantages: Isn't digital.

It depends what you want from a portable radio, but if you're not interested in having a digital one, are not too concerned about looks, and just want reliability, then this is for you. It already looks slightly old-fashioned, but then that means it will no doubt soon look retro and regain its coolness, so you could see it as an investment for the future! It's only about 24cm by 14cm by 7cm, so it's small, light and easily portable, with a large ...
...pulled out easily when in use. It also has a long aerial, but I've found that you generally don't need to put this up. It takes two C-size batteries, but they last for ages (literally, I can't remember the last time I changed them, and it's in use most days). It's easy to change them, though - a panel at the back slides off and on with no problems. You can also plug it in to a mains supply if you have a two-pin cable. One advantage of being old-fashioned, ... Read review

Tempus -1 DAB Radio Alarm Clock
Review of Pure Digital Tempus 1 by Sionperks

Advantages: Great DAB
Disadvantages: No FM/AM

A very good DAB clock radio, allows you to set a weekday or weekend alarm, stylish snooze handle and clear time display, great sound quality and good DAB reciver - more expencive than other but worth every penny! Good extending ariel also allows use in more rural areas, has no FM/AM tuner although this is not really a disadvantage as most traditional stations also broadcast on DAB. The clock raido function is also very smooth and automaticaly swithces ... Read review

Review of Sony ICFC273 by djtmj

Advantages: Two alarms and radio
Disadvantages: time taken to reset

This is a very good alarm clock with lots of usefull features. The green lcd screan makes it possible to see the time even in complete darkness. The dual alarm system is pretty much unique to this product and alows you to do things automaticaly which you would not be able to do without this alarm clock, such as; set an alarm for a certain time to wake you up, then play the radio whilst you lie in. on the downside of this product; it does take up ... INTEMPO TRS-01 DAB/FM RADIO
Review of Intempo TRS 01 by bazwill

Advantages: Portable, durable, good looking
Disadvantages: A little trebley sound wise, a little bit unsteady on its feet

This is a really nice compact (205x38x105mm) and light DAB radio. It comes in a variety of colours - red, black, purple, silver or blue and looks great. The 3 watt rms speaker gives out a decent sound and also decent volume for a radio of this size. However, the sound is maybe a little on the trebley side and there is no bass control. Its still a pretty decent audio experience though for your average listening on a day out ,or while taking a shower, ...
...up as it doesn't have an alarm feature), or cooking the dinner. It would be unfair anyway to expect top of the range audio from a very portable DAB radio costing less than 40 quid. It has all the usual visual display features you would expect from a DAB radio and the tuning is done via a rotary tuning dial. The volume control is at the side of the unit. You can also store up to 10 digital stations and also 10 fm stations as presets. This is all ... Read review
