small, sleek, stylish and will GET YOU OUT OF BED!
Review of Matsui CDCR200 by
markat1984
Advantages: multi-function,alarm,cd player, radio.great sound and extremely useful plus small and sleek!
Disadvantages: annoying when ur not expecting it to wake you up!!!
i bought this product originally just for the alarm clock because i find it had getting up in the mornings without a decent loud alarm, and this one has 3:
CD PLAYER ALARM
BUZZING ALARM
RADIO ALARM
having this choice is great, if you just want the simple but annoying buzzing in the morning you can hav the buzzing alarm, or if you want to wake up to your favorite tune blazzing away then pop in a cd and set it up for your self in the morning to ... ...up your favourite radio station so you can wake up to the sound of your favourite dj.and also there is the handy MUST HAVE for a alarm clock, the SNOOZE button which gives you an extra 10mins in bed,AWESOME!
but other than the alarm clock this product can also roll off your favourite tunes on cd or off the radio whenever you want to. it may well be small but it dont half kick out some noise when required to, there is also a memory function to save ...

High price to pay for poor quality
Review of Matsui CD11 by
Kingkarliii
Advantages: small and light
Disadvantages: Rubbish antenna and cuts out if played too loud
...decided to go for the Matsui CD11.
***Shape & Style***
It is a rounded bubbly-looking silver/grey CD player, with two black speakers built in, one on each side. With Matsui clearly stamped on the front. the CD. The CD tray is on the top and has to be manually opened. thereis a LCD screen on top as well that just displays the track number you are playing
***Features***
This CD player ghas all the basic buttons, play/pause, stop,skip/FFW, skipback/REW ... ...dials, one on either side. The first one on the left is the volume control and the one on the right is the radio tuner. There is also a headphone jack socket next to the volume control on the left. The mains lead is fixed and is 2 metres long. It also has a built in antenna for the radio, but it won't even pick up our local radio station which is only 500 yards down the road. The best feature is that it plays CD-R's and it only weighs 1.5kg.
***Sound***

The Spirit of Radio
Review of Matsui DAB R103 by
Borg
Advantages: Clear sound, good price...
Disadvantages: None
‘Invisible airwaves crackle with life, bright antennae bristle with the energy…’ *
I actually received this DAB/FM Digital Radio a gift from someone who knew better than I did that I ought to have myself a digital radio! Mostly for ‘Planet Rock’ – what a station! But I won’t discuss that, just yet. Buying a digital radio was not on my list of things to do before I died, you see, not that I actually have such a list – I don’t really do many lists. ... ...forgetful. I do shopping lists, so I guess that is all right. This is not the most expensive of digital radios, but is a very good introduction to the world of digital. It is a sleek, grey little number that is roughly ten inches wide and five inches high. It certainly looks the part. When you switch it on you have one of those ‘Welcome’ signs. You know, at least it does not say ‘Hello,’ or ‘Howdy, how are you today?’ I hate those messages, they ...

Altec Lansing IM600
Review of Altec Lansing IM600 by
mulvo
Advantages: Portable, good volume, lightweight
Disadvantages: none
After looking around for ages I finally decided on this based on many reviews of many products online and from talking to friends etc. I am very happy with my purchase. The IM600 is lightweight, easy to fold up and carry around in a rucksack/handbag. While plugged in to a socket, your iPod charges as you play it, and when you use it away from a power source the lithium ion battery kicks in (up to 8 hours playback apparently, although I have never ... ...with or without the power supply, which I was really happy about. It also comes with a remote control which is handy and can be used from a good distance away! To top it all off it also has a built in radio and you can preset up to four stations. So all in all I really recommend this product! I have no complaints at all! ...

Funky little digital radio
Review of Roberts RD 49 by
cheyenne3918
Advantages: Mains and portable use, clear reception, easy to use; has FM reception too
Disadvantages: Best to use rechargeable batteries if you're going use it as a portable; no alarm function
My sister recently recommended this product to me as being "great value for money" and as having "crystal clear digital reception". I was in need of a small digital radio for my bedside which could be operated both from the mains and battery, so I popped along to Comet to see if they had any left in the sale. I was delighted to find that they had and bought one on the spot.
I tried it out at home, and found it very simple to use (and I'm not really ... ...small and easy to follow.
I was able to access more digital radio stations on this small portable than I could from our larger, more expensive Pure version, which had developed problems with the display screen lately. The reception is also far superior.
In a nutshell - a solid little radio, user-friendly, with excellent reception. I'm very happy with my purchase. ...
