Great looking radio, Roberts R250

Advantages: Great to look at.
Disadvantages: Pricey.

...looked more original. The Roberts logo on mine looked somehow cheap compared to theirs. I love this radio and it sits in my kitchen where it´s used many times throughout the day. I love how it looks. I remember when I first got it being a little disappointed with the sound quality but over the years that I´ve had it I´ve got used to it. I do think they are very expensive to buy when you consider what else you could buy for the same amount or less ...

Solar power

Advantages: small cheap easy to use
Disadvantages: only mono sound

the solar dab radio is a good idea if you work outside or if you want a radio without any trailing cables in the conservatory. its small and light, won t cost anymore on batteries because it comes supplied with a rechargable inbulit battery that is charged by the small solar panel on top of the radio, onced charged will work for upto 27 hours. it also will work of the mains with the supplied mains adaptor. the solar dab comes in a range of colours ...

Review of Roberts Solar DAB

I regret purchasing this unit recently...

Advantages: simple controls, reasonable looks
Disadvantages: EATS BATTERIES, poor DAB, headphones disintegrated !

I liked the Roberts because it offered DAB and 'normal fm' as a fallback (DAB does need a good signal to work right) and it was a simple clean machine, and the controls were also simple and seemed 'better' than controls of the units I compared the Roberts to. It did have a nice 'feel' to it. Ok, so I staretd to use it...first day good, DAB not brilliant, quite a few 'gurgles' from the headphones whilst on the move, signal was not quite good ...
...'gurglies', however if I didnt move about it was fine..! I switched to regular FM..noisier but it worked, and my journey to and from work was suddenly 'eased' due to me having radio on the move. All this was fine, for about a week...then it dawned on me. The unit EATS batteries, even on regular FM, on DAB it is positively ravenous !! Doing the math, AA batteries range enormously in price, bute lets say a pair of duracell last two days (only using ...

A brilliant set of speakers!

Advantages: loud, bass, good looking
Disadvantages: fragile

This set of speakers i bought from amazon a few years back. they are truly brilliant i used them a lot for use with my ipod classic and brothers ipod mini and they had great sounds. recently the dock snapped off it. But because the speakers are so good i could not through them out so i have been using them ever since as PC speakers and that takes them to a whole new level. the bass is deep but very clear and the volume from a small set of speakers ...

Wakes me up (just about).

Advantages: Small, sleek, good alarm fucntions.
Disadvantages: Sound quality could be better at high volumes.

I got this as a gift a year or so back, as I wanted a DAB radio to walk me up in the morning (to Planet Rock). This arrived in my stocking, and was exactly what I was looking for.
