Teac SL D 90 Advantages: Sheer good quality honest sound reproduction, and the base woofers for such a small unit are exceptional. Disadvantages: None ...just the right size and has the necessary functions for operation. The CD player is very accurate and has the most brilliant sound and this in a unit that cost less than £100 pounds. Overall it does a great job, and is a wonderful advertisement for the Teac brand name. ... Teac SR-L30 Dab radio Advantages: Qualty sound, attractive, relatively easy to use. Disadvantages: Price? Not truly portable (no battery option). Stunning quality sound and build. This is a great little radio that looks good anywhere and sounds good as well. Relatively easy to use, though I still occasionally have to dig the booklet out when storing a new station. It's quality is obvious when you unpack it. The weight is dead right the assumption being that the speakers are responsible for much of this. They have little sub-woofers in the back which do a good job with the bottom end stuff, ... ...this is equally impressive. Definitely the best "portable" I have ever had. The downside might be price, but do shop around, and possibly that it is not truly portable, as batteries are not an option. Please note that in the menus that follow, the alarm question has been answered as excellent, but there is no alarm function and the same for the clock. ... A brilliant set of speakers! Advantages: loud, bass, good looking Disadvantages: fragile This set of speakers i bought from amazon a few years back. they are truly brilliant i used them a lot for use with my ipod classic and brothers ipod mini and they had great sounds. recently the dock snapped off it. Wakes me up (just about). Advantages: Small, sleek, good alarm fucntions. Disadvantages: Sound quality could be better at high volumes. I got this as a gift a year or so back, as I wanted a DAB radio to walk me up in the morning (to Planet Rock). This arrived in my stocking, and was exactly what I was looking for. It is a triangle shape, so it looks cool and sits on your bedside table nicely. It is handy here as the screen is constantly lit up even when off so you cans see the time, it has two brightness settings as well so you can have it to your taste but in all honesty the brighter ... ...a number of settings, primarily alarm settings as that is what it is designed for, so you can set a daily alarm, weekday alarm and weekend alarm which is very handy. It has all of the usual stuff like snooze buttons as well, so you can lay in bed for as long as possible before getting to to rush to get to where you need to be. As for sound quality, it is good enough for it's job, which is waking you up or just listening to the football or some casual ...
