parcel force lost my valuable parcel
Advantages: none Disadvantages: unreliable,untrustworthy,totally useless customer service,
i took my parcel to the post office on the 7/4/2009,the parcel contained a valuable item,i was informed that the best way to send my parcel would be by parcel force 48 as it was a guaranteed 48 hour service and i could track and trace my parcel online
i informed them of the value of the contents which was £450,at no point was i made aware that extra insurance was available at a cost,if they had told me extra insurance was available i wwould have ... ...value of my parcel,but have been told the maximum they will pay is £150,i am willing to bet they will find a way out of paying even that
since i sent my valuable item nearly three weeks ago it has vanished into a black hole with no tracking info apart from when it was collected from the post office at 17.01pm on the 7/4/2009
i have made at least 50 phone calls to parcel force and royal mail and have had no help whatsoever in trying to trace my ...

Advantages: Fast and efficient Disadvantages: None I experienced
Was expecting the worst to be honest after reading all of the horror stories from people here but my experience of DPD was flawless.
Due to the usual registered cardholder address delivery restrictions from e-tailers, I had to arrange my delivery to a building which is a bit difficult to find and on a very busy street crawling with traffic wardens. To make matters worse, the e-tailer who I bought my goods from had put the address down wrong so I ... ...Despite this, the DPD guy, who'd travelled 80 miles from his depot found me with "no bother" and delivered my package at 3pm.
I know that this review will not be what those with problems want to see but it's only fair that I pass on my experience of this company which, this time, was positive. Believe me, I was prepared for a rant if things didn't go smoothly! ...

DHL AT HOME NOT DELIVERING PARCELS
Advantages: none Disadvantages: You might not recieve your goods

I called DHL to register a complaint about the missing item and was appauld by the treatment I recieved. No-one wanted to take ownership for the problem and kept passing it to another department. After three different people I came back to first place I called.
Once my pacience ran out and I became a little more difficult I finally spoke to a girl who was helpfull and appologetic. She then raised my complaint to the head of security with DHL ... ...area no longer works with DHL and this was through chioce. I was informed by DHL that their couriers for DHL at home do not in fact work for them, they are self employed and some are self eployed part time with the company. Thus they do not have full control over them. Nothing has been proved on my case but I was told again by the head of security over the phone, that they have had problems in the past with drivers not delivering parcels and signing ...

Redirection service Royal mail a joke!
Advantages: You might get mail sometimes.... you don't get any bills! Disadvantages: You pay for a very poor service, you might not get your mail, you have credit cards stopped.
...I decided to write to Royal mail and complain, they apologised and offered me two books of first class stamps about £8 worth... which I accepted, although annoyed because cerdit cards, bills ect had gone missing, and we had accounts stopped because we had not paid bills, so they caused a lot of problems. However a few months down the line, it all started again, I ended up writing to the postal review panel who contacted the Royal mail, I was sent ... ...guessed it happened again.. The Royal mail gave us £50 the money back for the redirection plus little compensation.... well a few months down the line, yet again, it happened again... I keep getting told the problem has been sorted, but I received about 8 letters, which the new owners to our old house had written RTS on the envelopes.... I had an urgent hospital appointment letter go lost, cheques... you name it, they don't give a dam......... We ...

Hmmm, Is that my vase?
Advantages: None really, Recorded delivery thats about it! Disadvantages: Rude, Nasty, Unreliable, Damage goods, Expensive
...my own opinion on this Royal Mail service.
Ahh well.... EBAY! THE JOYS OF IT:) People claim their money back with a few clicks of a button if """Their product does not arrive""! So special and recorded delivery is a must for me and many other sellers.
Now... Too be honest Royal Mail is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Whether my items are not delivered on time.. Arrive soaking wet.. Arrive smashed up.. OR NEVER ARRIVE AT ALL! ... ...500 pounds on your item. Royal mail will not admit that the parcel is lost until 28 days after posting they told me! Its rediculous that you pay over 6 Pounds to post a parcel gauranteed by the next day and they can somehow allow 28?? Ofcouse you can count the weekend but that is just the sunday.. No excuse.
They lost my brand New phone purchased from ebay. The seller has sent me the proof of postage etc so I know its not his fault. I now have to ...
