Postman Pat Pocket library.........
Jack is a little bookworm and loves nothing more than a good book. His latest obsession (well his first one really) is Postman Pat. Of course, the Postman Pat Special Delivery Service, which is on every weekday morning 9.15am on BBC2, is a lot jazzier than Postman Pat used to be, so it not surprising he can't get enough of it. With Pat jetting about in his "Special Delivery" helicopter delivery parcels to all over Greendale it would make any little boy aspire to be a Postman!
Anyway it was a little while ago now that we purchased these books from Waterstone's and there was a buy 3 for 2 offer on but these books were selling for £3.99p. I have seen them cheaper on the Internet but the saving is merely a few pence (and with postage would probably tot it up over £4).
What you are getting when you buy this Postman Pat Pocket Library is six separate board books each with a proper story (and not just character facts) and great pictures. The books are small but because they are made of tough cardboard they are easy to handle and very hardwearing.
The books are housed within a lovely cardboard sleeve which should keep them all together and looking neat (not in our house!). These books I find are perfect for taking out because they are small the can fit into a handbag nicely and would keep any child entertained when out of the house.
The books are all in a different colour with each page being bright and eye catching. There is a picture on every other page and the words also written on every other page. The letters are not overly large because the stories are a good size for such a small book so they have to keep the writing smaller to fit it all in.
The stories that are included in the six books are as follows: 1. Bicycle Delivery Round 2. Special Delivery 3. Top of the Class 4. Postman Julian and Jess 5. Pat's Winning Goal
Each story is a good one and are not any that I have seen television episodes to. They keep Jack interested and he loves to get them out and have a look at the pictures when he is playing on his own too.
All in all I think this small set of books is a real winner. The price is reasonable (although perhaps could be a little cheaper). They are easily transportable and very hard wearing. Plus they don't take up too much room on the bookshelf (we needs all the space we can get!!).
I am awarding a 5 star rating for this Postman Pat Pocket Library and giving it a HIGH RECOMMENDATION. These would make a perfect gift for a little someone!
Thanks for reading! Hope this has been helpful!
