I am an Architect and I have long specified Potterton products.
When I refurbished my own home three years ago I installed two Potterton Suprimaboilers. Both boilers developed the same fault some twent months or so after installation, and both failed altogether within the following ten months.
Potterton are not even interested in the fact that two boilers developed thre same fault simultaneously. The cost of repairs is likely to be in the region of £300.00 - £400.00.
This company claims to sell quality products offering long life and trouble free heating.
RUBBISH! DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS

And Potterton have finally admitted that these boilers were faulty, why didn't they just come clean to begin with? Because they're too stupid to realise that customer service could get them a better repuation than any amount of PR and advertising...........

Why is it that some people seem to have terrible trouble and others, with the same boiler, have none at all?
Contrary to my previous comment though, I have to admit that this boiler has set Potterton back. The number of PCB's I've had to change on these things!
Maybe it's merger with Baxi may have something to do with it.
I'd fancy that if you had Profiles instead, we would not be here.

Well, it's 23 months since the first of my twinned Potterton Suprima boilers needed its circuit board replaced at significant cost and the old problem has re-appeared, causing the boiler to fail regularly (once or twice a week)
The installer has checked it and can find nothing wrong and we can only surmise at this point that it's the circuit board again
Yet another letter off to Potterton, watch this space
