I am really lucky to have such a large garden that I can find room for any amount of hanging baskets and pots. I like to arrange them so there is colour throughout the year, and use them to grow plants, herbs, strawberries, and vine tomatos which look superb.
The pyramid hanging basket is lighweight, and can be hung quite easily using the sturdy chains attachment fitted with an eyelet ring allowing room for a hook. These baskets are fully lined offering extra protection to the main straw body.
A seasons worth of colour and at only 1 pound in price it has to be worth it. (I like the pound shop).
Constructed using a natural straw material, a two tone shade, and a more unusual shape makes this hanging basket seem more costly than it actually is. Offering approximately 2 litres of room for compost and soil and approximately 20-30cm’s of open space at its widest point, there is plenty of room to grow a mix of plants. These like any hanging baskets can be hung at any height, and are not restricted to the normal head height of which we are all use to placing them, they can be used to decorate any area which may require a little colour, or can be placed in areas that may catch more sun or offer a little more shade. By having a few extra hooks strategically placed means you can move the baskets around to suit the growing requirements of the plant or your own personal requirements. I found by having a few extra hooks throughout the garden allowed me to move plants out of direct sun on the hottest of days, and could move herbs about to stop them from bolting (prematurely shooting). 5 great reasons to own a hanging basket (there are many more)(please add your reasons in comments if you have any) They look tidy, and improve property appearance. Ideal for adding colour to different heights. Can add depth and character Can allow you to grow in small areas Can be used inside and out. Excellent for experimenting. This list can go on, but I think you get the idea, and all of this for 1 pound (please give a week before you visit your local pound shop giving me chance to get some moreJ).
For the price it would make for a low cost present, easily adapted with compost and a plant, it could be a low cost project to carry out with children. It could be your very own herb garden… yum… smell that coriander…… I like to plant strawberries this way, it seems to protect them from slugs and snails, and seems to offer a slightly better harvest, the same can be said for vine tomatoes, and as they are lightweight they can be moved to gain most sun…( and moved to safety when it is time to harvest) Many plants and flowers can be planted and are suitable for basket growing.
I love the garden, and find hanging baskets an ideal way of utilising space, adding colour dimension, scents and personality. They are easy to use, look great and reward you with a season of splendour.
I fully recommend this item, for all its usefulness and low price……………. X Enjoy your garden and your hanging basket. I do not have any photographs to publish at the moment, however like my other reviews will update when they are available.
