Duracell? Dura-buy!

Advantages: High quality, last a good long time... and look quite nice too!
Disadvantages: A little bit more expensive than some brands

I tend to choose Duracell batteries when I'm looking for AA alkalines, simply because they give me peace of mind: they're reliable, they do the job and they last a good long time. These days I generally buy Duracell Plus, and when the four-packs are available at a good price - I've occasionally seen them for as low as £2, though that's not at all common, and £3-4 is more likely - I will usually snap them up pretty fast. ... Advantages: good value, long lasting, reliable
