Power to the people
Advantages: Very cheap, 2 fans Disadvantages: None
...and opted to use the Q-tec 550 watt dual fan gold as its power supply unit, most modern day PC power supplies average around 350 watt and they are predominantly fine for most PC's but as you add extra components to your PC like extra hard drives, or a faster processor or faster graphics card then you may get close to reaching the limit of your particular power supply which can result in either the PSU not functioning properly (causing serious system ... ...being over stressed.
The Q-tec 550 watt is a very powerful yet extremely cheap PSU which is also supplied with 2 fans as standard (1 fan draws warm air from your processor whilst the other fan expels that warm air out the back of your PC which helps to keep things cool inside your case) the 2 fans provide an output of 33 decibels.
The supplied cables are all of ample lengh and i had no problems whatsoever reaching them to my midi tower cased motherboard, ...

My Dream Machine PSU
Advantages: Dual fan, 400W Disadvantages: No seperate power out for monitor
In accordance with the comment, the word PSU will be replaced with several random and related nouns, to take a bit of the boredom from the review. Sorry if it sounds a little silly
Ciao haven't added all my catigories, but here's one of my computer component reviews, it's all out of sequence now.
This is the old PSU from our other computer. Luckily it was 400W and we only really needed a 300W in there. So we swapped the unit from the new case with ... ...dual fan electricity thingy. It’s the bit that you plug into the wall, plug into all your components, screw to your case and forget about. It’s a pretty standard thing, with standard connectors. So this is no different, it offers all the motherboard power and drive power you need for the latest batch of processors and drives. It’s 400W which means it’ll support all but the most power hungry devices (if you run your printer off the USB power and stupid ...

Cheap and cheerful PSU, and reliable too
Advantages: Triple Fan, nice gold colour, Serial-ATA cable, cheap, 650W Disadvantages: None
...at a budget price, and Q-Tec seemed to fit the bill quite nicely, at the price I was dubious but the PSU has performed admirably now for well over a year.
The PSU is cooled by three fans, 2 x 80mm, and 1 x 120 mm, which you would expect to be noisy, but this wasn't the case. The quoted noise level of 29 dB seems nothing compared to another fan within my case. These fans are temperature controlled, so when the PSU is doing very little, there is little ... ...the PSU, and not a lot else. Think a little manual wouldn't have gone a miss, maybe it was just mine that didn't have one, but I already knew what I was doing.
If I remember rightly, there are two pairs of molex plugs for IDE hard drive and CD drives, one S-ATA plug for S-ATA drives, the 20-pin ATX motherboard plug, and the P4 4-pin plug. Cable lengths are as follows, as these are a little shorter than some PSUs:
Molex, first connector 13", second ...

The National Grid must love me!
Advantages: Seems reliable, nice looking and cheap Disadvantages: i have heard a few to many bad reports about this PSU
...a sturdy box, with the Q-Tec branding stickers on it, giving the details of this particular unit. Inside was a neatly packaged PSU, shining brighly with the gold coloured metal case with lots of wires for all the connections that will be need to be made to all the various components, a few screws to attach it to the inside of your case and a manual, well more of a leaflet really stating a few do's and dont's.
Installation was easy as i have done ... ...read many reviews of the Q-Tec range and many of them are far from flatering, many say this PSU is also dangerous although i cannot agree with that. I dont want to be influenced by other peoples reviews but the rumour of power fluctuation may well be one of the downsides to this unit.
Power fluctuation is when the power supplied by the PSU wavers higher or lower than the amount its meant to deliver... Now ALL PSU's do this, but its the acceptable ...

Power up!!!
Advantages: Easy to use, quick, does the job, reliable Disadvantages: Overcharging is bad, does not automatically stop charging once full
...the road charger.
The Uniross Encore Classic Charger is a fast charger that takes around 3 hours to fully charge four batteries. This can be a mix of AA or AAA batteries, as the device allows for both to be put into each of the four slots at the front. It has a switch in case you only want 2 batteries to be charged, and you can do this easily as well.
Charging is incredibly simple. It comes with an adapter, so you plug it in, put it down on the ... ...on. This indicates it's charging, and once it turns red, it means that the batteries are fully charged. It's a shame there isn't an automatic shut off at this point, as it is quite easy to stick the batteries on charge and then forget about them. If you do this, then the batteries can overheat, damaging them and being dangerous if left too long. Just remember you have to use rechargeable batteries only! If you try to recharge regular batteries, it ...
