Aloe vera plants are brilliant, easy to care for and have endless uses. Aloe vera plats as as pictured above but as they get older do grow a stem in the middle and flower. They can grow to about 100 cm tall but dont wory you will be cutting lots off it. They need to have gravel in the bottom of the pot for drainage, and a soil/ sand mix of 50/50 to be kept best. You cant keep your aloe vera plant outside as it likes to be warm and you only need to water it when the soil drys up, about once a month for the 2 in my kitchen.
