Advantages: Cool Mag, full of cool info Disadvantages: Price, New look going on, adverts
I have been reading MaxPower for many years and id say it has to be my favourite mag.
Now lately it has changed its look... Good thing or bad thing? Im still not certain yet.
Lets start from the front cover....
Its a really bright coloured front page, definatly eye catching! First thing you will notice is the kitted up (Maxed) car which someone has spent ŁKKKKs doing up and just wants so show off... After all its their pride and joy.... Why shouldn't they? Aswell as other titles on the front giving information on what is featured in this months issue, there is also one of the featured female models,(Max Babes)

Advantages: Best cars, worldwide, well designed. Disadvantages: Amount of advertising, do we really need to see so many 16 year old girls breasts?, EMAPs editorial discretion is questionable.
MaxPower magazine, the biggest name in the Tuning Magazine industry. For some reason, MaxPower has risen to the top of the pile of this type of magazine, and is now read by hundreds of thousands of regular readers each month.
The staff line up isn't as impressive as the other magazines available, but a lot of those who work on magazines gained their reputation here at MaxPower. Gez Jones (Fast Car) and Jon 'Proby' Walsh (Redline) are the noticeable ones, but Nick 'Trotto' Trott, Gary Inman, and Nigel Grimshaw have all played a part in Max's history and then moved on to pastures new.
Still, we have John Sootheran as Editor, who has a lot of years knowledge within the business, as does the Features Editor Hans Seeberg (who allegedly once owned a Quad Turbo Fiat Uno). And some of the most exciting new talent in the business is ...

Advantages: saves money, interesting reading Disadvantages: does not appeal to everyone
I have brought quite a few issues of maxpower, and i do find it to be interesting reading (Although not to be taken too seriously) as i do a lot of modifying on my own car.
There are a lot of tips and tricks of the trade that have saved me probably half the money that it would have cost at the garage.
Also in the middle section of this magazine there are a lot of body kits, in car entertainment etc that you can buy, and mostly can easily fit them yourself. (although there is an option to take your car to the garages advertised for extra charge) I do find these accessories to be quite reasonably priced, again saving me a lot of money.
I also like the section at the back of this magazine, (after the advertising and 0901 numbers) called "cars for sale/spares" which is prety self explainatory.
