Found this book very useful for my Journalism and Society topic. Lecturer did recommend buying it, and rightly so. Covers substansial background information, not just for journalists, it covers television, radio, online. Covers press, broadcasting and new media in Britian.

The delievery too, was quick and straight forward, I recieved this book within 4 days from amazon. Very impressed.

Part 3 Rise of New Media
- Scientists, Capitalists, new media in Britain and the sociology of the internet.

Part 4 Theories of the media
- The sociology of the mass media, and the liberal theory of press freedom. The theory of public serivce.

Part 5 Politics of the media
- Central debates in media politics and the contradictions in media policy.

This book really is useful when looking for sources for research. Simply laid out and worth the money!
