Advantages: Cheap, Great images and an amazing buy.
Disadvantages: Eats batteries for breakfast.

...2 Million pixels is more than enough for anyone wanting to take decent normal sized pictures. You will only need more if you are going to print out posters! The Premier is superb! Even on it's lowest resolution( which allows me to take 80 pics on the internal memory) the quality is great. Battery consumption is fairly good too provided you don't take too many flash photos in a row. I would recommend that you buy a charger and some batteries too though. The optical zoom lens is great allowing you to get really close up. A three times optical lens at this price is excellent! In short if you want a decent digi camera with a great zoom that takes brill pics-you won't go wrong with the Premier... Read review

Canon DC10 - a reasonable camcorder

...DVD is undeniably superior to the ageing VHS tape format in the world of home movies, but you might be surprised to learn that the same is not necessarily true in the land of the camcorder. Though DVD camcorders offer a far more convenient method of storing footage, the output still lacks the resolution and vibrancy of tape-based MiniDV camcorders. We won't pull punches on this issue. It's important to realise that while there are many benefits to the new DVD format, you must be prepared to compromise when it comes to editing your footage. DVD camcorders like the DC10 record video to DVD in a linear, permanent fashion. Mainstream editing packages like Final Cut Pro, Premiere and iMovie will not work with the DC10, you have to use Canon's proprietary editing suite.
