Having spent more years than I care to remember looking for perfect foundations I've been very impressed with this product that appeared in the shops last year. Initially the range of colours was rather limited for Prescriptives who pride themselves on perfect colour matching, but new shades have been added in the past six months or so.
The foundation comes in a solid 'pancake' form with a soft applicator sponge which helps to distribute it evenly. Although the product appears a little greasy at first it soon loses the sheen to create a slightly dewy and natural finish. Theoretically, particles in the foundation help to even skin tone by reflecting light and certainly my skin looks much less blotchy and red after application. Even when I was having to use a slightly darker colour (before they produced a shade to match my skin) the difference was not really very noticeable due to the effectiveness of the product in blending evenly and the light reflecting properties.
A number of people have complimented me on my skin since I've been using this and, despite the cost, I shall certainly continue buying Photochrome make up. Additionally, my very sensitive skin seems happy with this formulation so I'm danged if I'm going to keep trying new products when this one is so good.
Oh, and the foundation contains an SPF15 sunscreen which protects my very pale skin.
