...working a part-time job in Primark . I worked there for over four years and was trained in customer service, cash registers, stock room and sales floor, so I reckon I can pretty much tell you anything you need to know about Primark Stores Ltd! By the way, I’m based in Northern Ireland, so some of the things I say may not be applicable in the English stores, but hopefully most will still be correct.

So I’ll begin with a little background ...
...to what the website says- Primark caters for everyone. " Uptown Clothes Downright Prices " is their slogan, and it is very true indeed. Primark sells its clothes at a price you really won’t find anywhere else.

The departments catered for are Ladieswear, Lingerie, Childrenswear, Menswear, Footwear, Accessories, Hosiery and Household. I’ll go through these one by one. Firstly, the largest department, and their ‘cash-cow,’ so ... more

...off me  Primark History ============ Originally an Irish store, Primark is owned by ABF (Associated British Foods) Plc and is a large retail group now employing over 10,000 people. Primark operates over 120 stores in the UK and in Ireland (where it is called Penney's) The largest Primark Branch is in Manchester, in Northwest England, having 100,000 square feet of space. The shop itself ========== Stepping into the Swansea Branch of the Primark store you will be amazed at how much stock can be fit into such a small space and on just one floor. Shopping with Teenagers

Advantages: Sells every item of clothing possible
Disadvantages: Busy at peak times

...then my son stopped outside Primark and suggested we had a look inside. Teenagers are renowned for wanting designer labels aren’t they? I propelled him inside quick as a flash, before he could see the error of his ways and change his mind. I’d never been inside a Primark before, nope not ever. It’s not a shop I’d think of visiting really, as it seems to be the butt of many a joke and always has been even when I was younger. Primark has always been ...
...in the first instance because Primark don’t have any trendy window displays nor do they have any advertising splashed all over the windows. I suppose they think they are popular enough not to have to worry about things like that and just rely on word of mouth to get the shoppers into the stores. When we entered the shop it was about 2.30pm. As far as the eye could see, the floor was jam packed with shoppers and every conceivable wall space was filled ...

A students heaven...

Advantages: Cheap, good quality clothes
Disadvantages: When its gone, its gone...

Primark has advanced a lot over the years. Two or three years ago I shoped at Primark, but friends from school were givin me the "ohh not there" kinda look when Id wear a primark top. One friend worked there, so she pretty much knew anything from Primark, so there was no hiding the fact that I'd been shopping there. Still I didn't care, it was a cheap shop and I got good value for money, so I went back time and time again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...
...just me that's caught the Primark bug, lots of my friends who previously thought "ugh primark" now shop there. As the title of this review states, it is a "students heaven". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHO IS PRIMARK BEST SUITED? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Primark sell clothes for all age ranges, kids, youth, studenty and even womens and mens. Its great value for money and you can easily find something likeable for maybe half the price you ...

Supermarket sweep...ish

Advantages: So so cheap
Disadvantages: Disorganisd chaos!!!

...searching for bargains in a Primark store is less of a hunt and more of a collection! Primark sells every single clothes item imaginable in a wide variety of styles and colours and all at unbeatably low prices! Honestly, I don't know how they are making a profit their prices really are that cheap! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Where to find them: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are 115 Primark stores across the UK and Ireland. Stores in the Republic of Ireland are known ...
...store near to you the Primark website; www.primark.co.uk has a store locator which lists all of their stores throughout the UK and Ireland. ~~~~~~~~~~ Store Layout: ~~~~~~~~~~ The actual layout of the stores are generally quite good. The aisles are relatively wide and the clothes are generally logically set out. The Primark stores have the basis of a good shop layout. However, because the prices are so cheap, and the most common sizes run out ...

Shopping Smells

Advantages: My credit card bill liked it there.
Disadvantages: It's a shop, so I didn't.

...didn't feel my confidence rising. Primark looked like just the sort of shop I hate even more than I hate most shops: it was packed full of stock piled high on shelves and squashed onto hundreds of racks with hardly any room between them, the entire place was bathed in that vicious, horrible neon glow, and it was absolutely packed full with a heaving mass of people all frantically purchasing. There were queues at the checkouts. I was feeling claustrophobic ...
...through the jungle that is Primark on a weekday afternoon and I'll tell you what I bought, because it has to be just about the most successful clothes shopping expedition I've ever been on. Really. I bought: One black dress One dark green dress One dark green pair of trousers Two white mens shirts One pair of jeans (for my mother-in-law) Two pairs of hiking socks Ten pairs of childrens sports socks Four white childrens polo shirts Amazing. ...

Primark - Shopping at affordable prices

Advantages: Lots of selection, Cheap Prices, Good Clothes.
Disadvantages: The Womens section tends to be full of crazy shoppers,

Primark is a great place to shop. As a man I don't really like spending lots of times in shops. I just want to go in, find what I want and get the hell out of there I first stumbled on Primark a few years ago whilst being dragged in shop to shop with my girlfriend and it was then that I realised how cheap Primark was. I found myself filling there oval baskets with things that I wanted and it was affordable. Can you imagine being able to buy lots of clothes, filling your basket and paying the same price you normally would for one item usually. You can get some amazing bargains in Primark. I tend to use Primark to get underwear, socks and t shirts as you can get them all for a couple of pounds. But i've also bought a new suit in there before which turned out to be really nice and there tie collection is pretty good too. To be ...

Primark :Definitive guide to intelligent shopping

Advantages: Cheap, better styles than previously, great for knickers
Disadvantages: some seriously synthetic stuff, the odd dodgy shape, queues

There are quite a few reviews about Primark, so I'm going to do more of a guide for newbies about how to get the best bargains, with a little intro of course! AVAILABILITY ************** Primark can be found in most city centres, and in london you tend to find it in the outer boroughs - Hammersmith, Tooting, Kilburn. This is because it's not the most glamourous shop in the world, however if you've got a keen eye you can get some great clothes and save a packet. THE SHOP ITSELF ******************** Branches of Primark tend to be pretty large, they have to be to fit all the clutter in, and all the frenzied shoppers. It has a simple green logo, and stands for cheap and cheerful, which is why if you go at the weekend then you'll have trouble a) getting in b) finding the size you want. THE CLOTHES - what to go for, what to ...

Primark: the shop for all seasons

Advantages: cheap, affordable, nice quality, lots of choices/colours etc
Disadvantages: store can be too crowded at times, messy

very cheap and affordable! I recently bought some tshirts from primark and i thought they were just the same quality as those from more expensive shops // and prices starting from 2.50 you wont have to worry about money! Lots and lots of choices too and colours and sizes:) they change their stock frequently as well so they flow with the recent style! The only thing maybe that people wouldnt want about primark is how crowded the store can be and clothes all over the place sometimes specially during weekends and holidays it gets a little bit messy (i suppose what can u expect with a cheap shop!). but i guess some people wouldnt mind that as with me, I can be too busy looking for my size! (size 8) lol and with so much choice, it can be difficult sometimes to choose. But other than that, I think primark is a great shop with complete range ...
