Primark (Shop)

... I don't mind long hours in the shopping malls looking for a superior bargain (which can be quite a challenge)! One of the shops that I am most obsessed with was Primark. People in England pronounce it as Pry-mark while Scottish, Irish and Welsh people call it Pree-mark (I l heard it when ... Read review

''' Primark store LTD and their slogan . . . (look good and pay less)'''

'''Primark is trading as Penneys in the republic of Ireland.'''

Surprisingly it was founded in 1969 in Ireland (I didn't know that). It has in total over 26,000 employees and 181 stores; 139 in the United Kingdom, 34 in the republic of Ireland and 8 in Spain (Yippee!), of which 2 are humongous megastores in Madrid.

'''What does Primark retail?'''

Generally speaking . . . it's clothing. From the moment you lay your eyes on the store, you would mainly think it's aimed for young people and individuals under 30, but when you look intimately you find that it's for all age groups and all tastes. They have baby clothing, as young as a newborn until 3 years; children clothes. Also, there is a women's department (which takes up a big chunk ... more

...sighed this glamorous twenty-something, 'when Primark started to get featured in Vogue. It used to be MY secret… Now EVERYONE goes there!' Seen any Primark advertising lately? I certainly haven't. Primark, it seems, don't 'do' advertising, at least, not in the traditional sense. But then again, why should they, when the media (especially the print media) seem to be cheerfully supplying them with an almost constant stream of free publicity anyway… ...
...clothing stores, Primark is now riding high on a tidal wave of canny consumerism. In an era in which Ebay have effectively morphed the thrift-shop into an electronic medium, and supermarket giants sell fashionable, if poorly-made clothes amidst the soap and the celery, Primark have become a retailing phenomenon. Stella McCartney may well be designing for H&M, but soap-starlets, footballer's wives and wannabe 'It' girls like Lady Isabella Harvey are ...

Pradamark - Enter At Your Own Risk

Advantages: Cheap, Cheerful, Latest Trends, Fast Turn-around
Disadvantages: Queues, Messy, Jumble Sale a-like, Stressy.

...familiar with the name.. Primark is now a household name in the UK. Highlighted by TV features, magazine articles and a growing customer base this highstreet brand has become the most popular of the cheap and cheery budget clothing shops. Known as 'Penneys' in Ireland, Primark slowly started to enter the UK in 1995 and now has 140 high street shops dotted around the country. These huge shops are often bombarded with shoppers on a daily basis as ...

Primark: Prepare Yourself

Advantages: Great prices, fantastic value, good returns policy.
Disadvantages: Long queues, very messy stores, unhelpful staff, uncomfortable conditions.

...you not in the know, Primark is a department store chain that specialises in clothing for men, women and children/babies. They also include a home section and ladies...ahem...err...yes. Unmentionables, in other words. They have been operating for several years and they are currently buying out the Littlewoods stores, several of the best of which will be turned into Primarks and the rest sold for a tidy sum to other retailers. It's a good move that ...
...PRIMARK: THE MARKET Primark specialise in low prices. Please note that when I say low, what I really mean is INCREDIBLY LOW. A ladies fashion belt for £2, a pair of mens fashion jeans for £8....you're getting the idea. In order for Primark to make a decent enough profit after paying its work force and all its other expenses at these sorts of prices, it needs to sell sheer volume. Bulk sales, in more confined terms. In their method of bulk selling ...

Bargains Galore!

Advantages: Very cheap, but good quality too.
Disadvantages: Some clothing stops at a certain size, length of the jeans

=== Primark === When I saw how many reviews for Primark there was on here, I thought does Ciao really need another? Well the answer is- Yes, I don't think there can be enough praise for the bargain store that is Primark! On appearances from the outside, Primark fits into the high street perfectly- the blue illuminated sign is simple yet effective and is easy to spot on a long street of retail heaven! Some of the stores still have the green theme ...
...of customers that are in Primark constantly. They have stands with folded t-shirts on them, and after a few customers have unfolded them to look at the size- then put them down again, you quickly begin to realise why the store looks messy. Sale time in Primark is one not to be missed, gone are the days of 25%, 30% or 50% off- Primark hits straight off at 70% or even better like over this last weekend where most clothing was down to a pound! Their ...

Cheap as chips

Advantages: Cheap cheap cheap cheap
Disadvantages: Quality, differing service in shops

...few people have already reviewed Primark but I thought I would stick my nose in and write a review as well (it's a long one so go to the end if you just want the pros and cons, and a bit of advice!). Primark has, on and off, been a presence in my life for at least 15 years now, and indeed probably longer. As a child it was the bane of my life - we didn't have a lot of money when we were growing up, and Primark, in Ipswich, therefore provided a lot ...
...So the thought of Primark as an adult made me shudder with memories of being bullied and feelings of polyester against skin. Consequently, imagine my disgust when whilst working in Hammersmith a few years ago, I saw that the Co-op in Kings Mall was changing into a Primark. How I laughed and suggested to my friends that on the opening day we go and laugh. Suffice to say I didn't laugh, I was shocked. Shocked at the range and the quality of the clothes ...

Primark Shopping

Advantages: Lots to choose from for everyone, very fashionable items
Disadvantages: Long ques and very busy

In my opinion Primark is a brilliant place to shop, they have all the latest fashions at the greatest prices. There is so much to choose from that you find yourself leaving the store with your hands full of bags, most people i know love Primark. It has various departments to suit everyone, such as, Womans Clothing, Mens Clothing, Shoes, Underwear, PJs, Swim Wear, Home Wear, Kids wear and Bags...the choice is endless. The only problem i find is that you can guarantee Primark will be really busy, with rather long ques, and usually alot of the in demand items have gone!! but other than that it is the best shop to shop in if you want a fabulous bargain, and if you can find a quiter store then even better!! You usually find the larger stores are busiest. ...

Review of Primark (Shop)

My experiances of shopping at primark.

Advantages: good quality products for reasonable prices.
Disadvantages: few staff means long queues and dis-organised layout and order of shops.

My experiances of shopping at Primark are good, they have a wide range of cheap, stylish and fasionable clothing for women, men and children as well as a home range featuring towels, tea towels, flanels, cusions and lots more!!! The clothing and products sold by the Primark stores is quite good quality it lasts extreemly well for the price's of the garments and items and nine out of ten times remains a good colour. There are some down-falls of Primark being such a popular shop (mainly with those under thirty). To sell products at such a cheep price Primark has limited staff, this means long queues, and that the layout and general order of most primark shops is rather dis-organised. Overall i really recomend Primark as a good quality shop selling garments and house-hold products for reasonable prices, and i would put it in ...

Primark shopping

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: long queues

Primark is very cheap, sells very decent items. I have used Primark in London, Oxford Street - big an also very busy. You can find tops for 2 quid, and knickers for 50p. They are cheap but good quality.I buy a lot of plain stretchy tops - you can find them in many different colours and wear them with everything :) I am also happy with the lingerie again cheap and good quality! The negative thing is that they only let you take 4 items into the changing room , you spend a lot of time waiting for a changing room, and then you wait more for the cashier... it's not good if you wan;t to do some quick shopping... Make sure you always check the sizes! many times I found diffrent size on the hanger and different size on the label. So if you have few hours to spare and a patience for queues then you will be happy with how little ...
