Primark has been around for quite a while now but it has really taken off in the last couple of years. With the "wag" Coleen McLoghin spotted shopping there its actually seen as quite trendy now! But, as tiring, hot, sticky and frustrating a day out in Primark can be there's one thing that makes you keep going back there...

Prices: The prices are fantastic in Primark. I'd say if your going to be buying things in a bulk as well, like I recently just did as I was off on holiday Primark is your best bet, I got a bundle of plain vests for the beach for 1.50 each and they even stock up in quite trendy bikinis now for under a tenner. The tops never really go above a tenner and you can gurantee you will always find something you like in there. Trouble is, as it's so cheap, you find yourself filing your basket up going, "Oh, it's only two quid" and when you get to the checkout you see this shocking amount appear. Trousers are well priced, last year when the skinny jeans were in, Primark stocked up on these for 8 quid which stand you could never seem to get to on a Saturday afternoon. It's brilliant if your on a budget say, need new work clothes, but don't want to spend an arm and a leg on clothes that you wear to go to the place you hate lol. Plain black trousers are as low as a fiver and they sell plain white shirts, black skirts and also shoes now.I've also noticed Primark are doing a "home section" now still well priced. They sell good quality beach towels for a tenner and all sorts of decorative things which are surprisingly trendy. Accessories are also good. You can buy a pack of 30 hair bobbles for a quid, belts for a 1 -3 pounds max and tthey also sell flat pumps for 3 quid. For me though, you can't go wrong with the underwear. Just as pretty as La Senza, but for 1 quid a pair, you can't go wrong really can you?

Seletion: The selection is a high standard. They mainly cater for the fashionable ones but you can always find something a bit individual what you haven't seen anywhere else. They also have a section in the store which I think caters for work clothes, typical sort of office clothes like white shirts, black skirts and plain grey trousers but this area of the store always seems to be heaving due to the bargains so it must be good! They have a big selection of plain vests & t shirts and they have various differemt styles of underwear even! Thongs, boy pants, plain old normal knickers and them stylish ones that just go half way over your bum! Even a selection of socks! Normal socks, trainer socks, pop socks, everything you need really just at a lower price.

Size Ranges: I'm not 100% but i think if I'm correct that Primark go up to a size 18, kind of average really when you think about all the customers they attract. I do tink they should consider having another section in the store for curvier ladies. Alas with the lengths of things. For some mad reason a lot of stores put the average leg length as 32" and this seems really long to me so I think as they do for the men (!) they should do different lengths in trousers for us as I find as I'm a bit less than average height wise my trousers can drag along the floor and can get messed up easily. The bras I don't think are very good with sizes. The average size now is bursting over a 36D and a D cup is the furthest they go up to! If your a larger busted lady like myself it can be annoying seeing all these pretty bras and them not having your size. Instead you get forced to go to expensive places like Marks and La Senza so it would be good for Primark to consider the larger breasted ladies in the store and seeing as women are getting bigger boobs now, maybe it'd would help their sales?!

Store in General: I think this bit lets it down the most. The QUEUES are an absolute nightmare. Saturdays are the worst for queues. The Romford branch is terrible for this and there are some right Primark fantatics, as I used to work in Romford and get in before 9.30am the Primark freaks would be waiting outside for the store to open! That's probably why there is always a queue there lol. But the queues are bad, it's hot, frustrating there's always a screaming kid in front of you moaning they want to go home and you can see the steam out of people's ears as yet again someone has about two trolley fulls of bargains waiting to go through the check out.
I don't even think the queues improve to be honest. I'm lucky enough to work shifts and sometimes have free days and I decided to pop down on Monday afternoon thinking it wil be the start of the working week so maybe it'll be calm. How wrong was I. Not as bad as Saturday but the queue was still huge.

The shop is always so messy too. Things are always on the floor, hangers on the wrong sized clothing, just awful. You can always see the frustrated members of Primark staff desperatly trying to keep it tidy but the frantic bargain hunters are too much. You will always see people rummaging through the pile of clothes and they won't put it back on the pile if they don't like it they will throw it on the floor to collect dust! Be careful as well of the bargain hunters. If you have your eye on something and they want it they will go for it and give you a dirty look. I've had this several times when I've seen the last size 12 garment!

Another thing will touch on, unless your very very brave, DON'T USE THE FITTING ROOMS! The queues go on forever here and don't seem to move and, ug, it's just the worst experience ever. It's hot in there and that with a slow moving queue and screaming toddlers in your ear, it ain't a pleasant experience. At all costs, avoid the fitting rooms!

Overall, it's great for bargains but I wouldn't reccommend it as a shopping trip on your Saturday off. You get hot, flustered, angry and wound up. If you can put up with that for a bargain, go for it, otherwise only make it a monthly trip!

I like Primark but their sizes seem to differ so much...whats a size 10 in a T shirt isn't the same size as another in exactly the same style! x x

I like Primark but as you say, it gets hot and sweaty in there!
