Advantages: very cheap for its size, under 30p a GB Disadvantages: Slower than SATA
...this harddrive is very good value for money at under 30p per gigabyte. its easy to install for anyone who knows at least a little about the inside of computers.
i have found that this drive works best as a slave drive (not the drive with the operating system on) and is very reliable at storing masses of data. i have yet to experience a single problem with this drive and i have had it for almost a year now. it doesn't show any noticable performance issues even after it has been on for several days. the amount of data on the drive also doesn't affect it in any noticable way.
you don't need to enable anything in the BIOS after instalation. to format the drive go into control panels, then into administrative tools, then computer management, then storage, then disc management. right click on the new drive and format. easy as that....

Advantages: Reliable and high capacity Disadvantages: Not exceptionally quick for high performance computers
...When I first built my PC this was the harddrive that I used for everything. It is a very reliable harddrive and is an excellent buy for people who need that extra capacity. The only bad point that I can think of about this harddrive is that it is 7200rpm as apposed to the raptor drive I use as my system drive. This lesser speed means that things such as disk defragmenters, installations and boot can be slower if you are used to a high performance drive however for anyone who just needs capacity this is the drive for you. In conclusion this is an excellent product for capacity however if you are the type (like me) who wants to run high performance games with highest settings then this is not the drive you need as your system volume....
