Design
The portable harddrive comes in an attractive silver case that has USB2 and FireWire 400 ports. It's about 20 cms long and 10 in depth and weighs a fair bit. It is a desktopdrive and can't really be moved around due to its size.
Installation
The instructions were easy to follow and it installed by windows wizard as soon as i plugged it in, so within 20 minutes i was backing up my files.
Performance
Performance is good for a portable hard disk, and there was no real difference in speed between the two interfaces. T

...was the perfect drive for me to save my files. Yes saved and backed up safley. The great thing is you just have to plug in the harddrive into your pc via the usb port and you are ready to go. No software or drivers to install.
I have never gone back to using DVDs or CDs to backup anything. Another thing I used to have loads of CDS DVDS scattered around the room. I have now thrown them away... WOW 120GB ona small harddrive that you can put anywhere.
