Primary is an expert in the storage market. It specializes in storage upgrades, CD duplication products, network storage and notebook accessories. It is constantly developing innovative new products selecting only the very best of breed in each sector of its market.
Advantages: Very fast, reliable and quiet... and Cheap! Disadvantages: Absolutely nothing!
...Maxtor have been there since the beginning of the home PC - They were making 100MB hard disks 12 years ago that are just as good as their 400GB+ disks today.
I have always liked the combination of price and reliability Maxtor drives have offered. You can pick up a Maxtor disk for £10-£15 cheaper on average than you can other manufacturers. My first Maxtor disk was a monstrously big 10GBdisk back in 1999, and since then I have truly been hooked.
Never once has a Maxtor disk failed on me, or had any indication of doing so. SMART status on all of my drives has always been 100%, and that 10GBdisk is still happily sat in a USB enclosure on top of my PC.
Anyway, with the 80GB Maxtor DiamondMax 9 I have been using as my Primarydisk for over 3 years getting a bit on the full side, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I wanted a disk...

Advantages: Standard Disadvantages: Extremely unreliable, warranty is only one year
...One of the most unreliable and fault ridden disks I've ever seen. I purchased a batch of similarly sized Maxtors, Hitachis, Seagates and Western Digital drives around 3 years ago. I had about 15 Maxtors, of which I now have 7 remaining. In comparison, I've only lost 1 Hitachi and 2 Seagates. I'd say that pretty much speaks for itself.
To top it off, whilst the Seagates came with 3 year return to base warranties, the Maxtors have about a 1 year. I wouldn't say that's a vote of confidence from the manufacturer on the product's reliability. Though, 1 year warranty on hard disks does seem to be becoming industry standard.
For disk purchases I would highly recommend Western Digital or Seagate. I still have 4 GB WD Caviars that are still up and running!...

Advantages: Is good for Macintosh Disadvantages: The price
...The store vinchester of a type works with disk carriers of capacity 1 and 2 Gb by a principle of return compatibility. To its lacks it is possible to relate that it expensive and is focused mainly on the professional users (developers of multimedia, poligraf etc.) Also to lacks it is possible to relate impossibility of connection of old drives through USB, though the company and is going to modernize park already of sold diskdrives.
And in the whole very quite good store.Especially it suits the users of Macintosh - systems. And with the beginning of the latent discrimination SCSI-adapter SCSI-to-USB became as is never urgent (even at the price in 80 dollars)....

Having been searchng for a decent brand USB pen drive, which was reliable and small,i opted for this one as it was Kingston and 1 GB was enough storage.
At prices from £10 for a massive 1GB drive this was a bargain especially since it is a good brand... more
