I used my tin of peaches to make a trifle but you can eat them on their own, or with cream, or custard hot or cold. You could make a tinned fruit salad adding tins of other favourite fruit , You could drain the tin and ... more

peachy treat

Advantages: quick teatime treat very versitile
Disadvantages: syrup is too sweet

...I found a tin of Princes tinned Peach Slices in light syrup. MMMM a Sunday afternoon tea favorite when I was a child. Brought back memories, of Potted meat sandwhichs without the crusts, fizzy pop and Blue Ribbon biscuits followed by shaky milk (carnation) and tinned slice peaches. So why write a review - well As soon as I found the tin, it was opened and the contents emptied in to a glass bowl, I popped the bowl in the fridge and drove off to the ...
...I carnt really compare Princes tinned peaches with any other brand as, they really are something I do not buy regulary. But in my opinion, they are really tastey and make a quick and easy sweet. The peaches can be used in home made trifles and mixed with other tinned fruits to make a fruit cocktail. I think if I was going to buy tinned peaches again,I would look for peaches in original jucies instead of the syrup simple because the suger content ...

Review of Princes tinned sliced peaches in syrup

I Value Tesco Products Highly.

Advantages: Tinned peaches that are fine !
Disadvantages: None

I feel that Tesco are doing well if they can offer us a 410g can of sliced peaches for the princely sum of 28p. If we look around the shelves and compare prices the brand named tinned peaches are far more expensive. Del Monte have a 410g can of sunripe peaches in juice on offer at a staggering £1.07p. For that price I would want an airline ticket thrown in and I would go and harvest my own sunripe peaches! There is the old argument that you get what you pay for and that is a very valid point, if you are serving the peaches to Royal relatives or feel the need to impress friends or neighbours then Del Monte is the only way forward! In essence I suppose the Tesco Value Peaches are classed as substandard, this is my theory. The peaches are either too small or too large, part of the peach hasnt been facing the sun, or they have ...
