Pringles which make your tongue tingle 25 of 25 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Pringle's usual great taste, with a hint of BBQ flavour

Disadvantages Some additives, salt content - and no good if you don't like BBQ flavour

No party is complete without party snacks - and no one does party snacks better than Pringles. OK, so basically they're just crisps (or thinly-sliced dehydrated potatoes done in vegetable oil, if you prefer), but if you want to impress your guests then Pringles will do it far better than your ordinary crisps. Who doesn't find their shape attractive - and even if you serve them in their tube rather than your best dish they're still sure to impress.

But you need variety, and Barbecue flavour is a welcome addition to the Pringles range. They're badged as "Texas BBQ sauce", although (unlike the usual over-the-top Texan approach) I'd say it's just a hint rather than full-in-your-face high-octane BBQ flavour. But if BBQ doesn't rock your boat then it's probably best to avoid them. However, I certainly enjoyed them. They have a rougher, grainy texture compared to other Pringles crisps, and the flavour just seems to creep up on you - initially mild, but then tickling the tastebuds and leaving a gentle aftertaste on the tongue and lips. The piquancy seems to come from a mix of paprika, onion, mustard seeds, celery and other spices and flavourings.

These Pringles are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans, and apparently have no artificial colours. However, the ingredients' list includes E471, and no one could accuse them of catering for the "healthy eating" brigade - but then they're probably no worse than many of the alternative party snacks / crisps. In a 25g portion, there's 13g carbohydrates (1.2g of which is sugar), 9g of fat and 0.16g of sodium. The fat content of a 25g portion is about a seventh of the Guideline Daily Amount for adult women (don't ask me why the packaging singles out women rather than men) and there are 6.8 portions in a normal-sized container - so if you're tempted to comfort-eat a whole packet, be warned!

However, I'll certainly be giving BBQ Pringles another outing next time we have a party - although I'll encourage my guests to eat them in moderation, of course!

Your review was very helpful, not a big lover of bbq crisps, and this review hasn't done anything to sway me towards them.
