Quality, speed and a big price
Review of Tally Colour Laser T8006 by
robmarks
Advantages: Good quality pictures, reasonably fast
Disadvantages: Heavy, bulky and very expensive
This product was my first purchase of a colour laser printer, which was bought for my office at work. The price was £899. Not the cheapest but I was assured by the supplier that the quality was very good.
Indeed the quality is good. I'm very impressed by the high standard of prints, both colour and mono. It performs particularly well on photographs, which are reproduced in excellent quality with an almost glossy finish.
The printer comes with 64Mb ... ...seem. The printer is certainly fast, whipping out colour prints fairly quickly.
Sadly, despite its speed and quality, this printer has some fairly big disadvantages. Firstly there is no auto duplex, which costs extra. The printer also seems to struggle with all but plain copier paper, which is a pity when you want colour pics on glossy paper.
Be prepared for a heavy product. This weighs a ton. It took two people to lift the box and move it into ...

Review of Brother HL 2400CE by
Mcsm
Advantages: Fast printer that acts like a HP, works with Bespoke apps
Disadvantages: Could do with better networking built in
Brother occupies an enviable slot in the mono laser printer market, and is carving out a good chunk of the colour laser sector too. It's achieving this feat with products such as this networkable, high-end colour laser unit.
The HL-2400Ce is a large, heavy (32kg, in fact) beast, as are most colour lasers. This is because they require four separate toner cartridges and a somewhat convoluted paper path. The Brother unit is no worse than any others ... ...problem in any event, as Brother supplies drivers for all major operating systems, and these provide a good level of user feedback.
With a top resolution of 1200dpi, boosted to an 'apparent' 2400dpi with various resolution enhancement algorithms, the HL-2400Ce has a maximum print speed of 16ppm in mono and 4ppm in colour. Printing on transparencies halves these potential maxima. As you'd imagine, there's an 'N' version of the printer which has powerful ...

Great quality - great price
Review of Tally Colour Laser T8006e by
Plymyphil
Advantages: Purchase price, total cost of ownership, quality
Disadvantages: Paper jams
...reading this review of the Tally 8006e colour laser printer.
This is the first colour laser printer I have had to use regularly and without spoiling my overview that I will put at the end of the review, I am seriously impressed. The quality is superb and the value for money I believe to be good also.
We purchased our Tally 8006e to replace a Hewlett Packard networked inkjet printer (2500) that was proving unreliable on the network and expensive ... ...repair and maintenance costs. Our Tally was purchased primarily because the independent reports of the budget colour laser market suggested this printer had quite considerably lower total cost of ownership than other similar printers. The costs per page are listed as:
1.1p per page for a black and white office memo.
4.7p per page for a colour office memo.
7.3p per page for colour marketing materials.
14.8p per page for colour presentation.
24.5p ...

Lexmark is very reliable
Review of Lexmark X3580 by
lulabell87
Advantages: wifi, screen
Disadvantages: 2 separate ink cartridges
...ago, i have always had lexmark printers, and i really liked the design of this one. It is an all in one, so a printer, scanner and copier, and the price ranges from around £30-50 which i think is reasonably good value for money. It takes two print cartridges, one black on colour, the numbers are 3 and 4 cartridges respectively, which are also fairly cheap. at between £13-18 depending on where you purchase them, I find the fact that it has separate ... ...just have one cartridge for both, as i personally use a lot more black than colour, so i only have to replace whichever one is needed as opposed to the whole cartridge, when there may still be colour ink left in it. It has an extendable tray which you can pull out while it is printing to catch the paper, and the buttons are easy to use. It was also very easy to install, with no major problems arising. It also has a good warning system of when the ...

Canon Pixma mp 460 - Fantastic all in one
Review of Canon Pixma MP460 by
panther23
Advantages: lcd display, durability, optional Bluetooth connection, qualitys, speed, design, functionality, rich software, reliability
Disadvantages: could be litle smaller
...mode is much quieter.
Canon has a number of standard, automatic cleaning procedures:
- standard cleaning eliminating unwanted smudges and lines in the print result
- Deep cleaning unclogging nozzles that can not be cleaned by regular cleaning
- Bottom plate cleaning which prevents paper smudges during printing
- Roller cleaning gives smoother paper feeding
Ink (Canon FINE (Full-lithography inkjet Nozzle Engineering) - 4-ink)
Inks does what ... ...outs. My one lasts for 8 months already and still did not have to replace them. Fact is that I' am not a printing maniac. I use them only when I need them. It is about 3-5 times a week. The cost of new ink varies from capacity. There are different options available on a market. That is good as you can suit size to your budget or if printing a lot buy bigger ink. Black costs about £11 and colour £16. For me it is not expensive. Quality costs.
