OKI 5600N review
Review of OKI C 5600dn by
Bilko7
Advantages: Superb print quality, speed and versatility
Disadvantages: without using the colour correct utility the colours are saturated
I have had both HP and Samsung lasers and this one blows both away into the weeds for quality and cost of colour prints. The only down side is all colours are by default over saturated BUT this is readily correctable using the supplied colour correction utility.
After you have set this up to your satisfaction the printer delivers consistent high quality glossy finish prints.
The user manual has been well thought out and is easy to follow - I hate ...

Oki 5600n Is Amazing!
Review of OKI C 5600n by
Caio-Spike
Advantages: Low cost, relatively quiet, good software pack & support from Oki
Disadvantages: Wish it was A3 for this price but nothing else springs to mind
When Oki released their colour printers a few years ago the print results were mediocre to say the least. Colour lasers had cleaner sharper lines and the finish was simply better.
In the past couple of years Oki have refined their technology and printer software to bring us a range of machines that are truly amazing!
The C5600n was my printer of choice. It warms up quickly, is reltively quiet and produces laser quality fast prints at a relatively ... ...offers around from main line Oki dealers so shop wisely but deals can be found. I would be wary of buying second hand as these machines can be given hard lifes but for a personal/office printer of this quality at a sub-£400 price point - you really do not need to look any further.
This specific machine can print on a wide range of material, in verious weights and even produce paper banners up to 1200mm in length (with a single pass).
Many small ...

A printer good for home use
Review of Canon PIXMA IP2500 by
Sweetpea1075
Advantages: Inexpensive, Nice design, modern looking, OK for everyday use
Disadvantages: Noisy, takes ages to start up, goes through ink quickly
...had broken. I have a Canon camera and know that Canon is a good well know brand. It also looks nice and modern and has a nice shiny black finish.
For the jobs that I want it to do at the moment, it performs well, although I am hoping to print out some large photo prints in the near future, so will be upgrading. For standard photos and written documents, it does the job nicely, although some of the colours on the photos did not come out the same ... ...the printer itself, as my PC may not be set up correctly.
The disadvantage is the amount of ink it uses. I have never used so much over the last few months, especially if you are printing out photos - it is not a cheap option. Much cheaper to get them done at processing lab or online. The ink is not cheap for this printer either, compared with other similar printers. Although I have found that even when it says it is empty, there is still actually ...

A good printer with added "bits"
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R300 by
Carrotts73
Advantages: good print quality, cheap copy cartridges, stand alone if needed
Disadvantages: none really
The Epson R300 is a good low cost Photo Printer. It has lots of useful features, for instance you can print direct from a camera, or pop a memory card into the reader on the front. If you're connected to a PC then it can use the memory card reader as well. It is also possible to attach a Bluetooth module and print direct from a camera phone, but I've not tried this. You can buy a colour LCD for it so that you can preview pictures before you print ... ...and it can knock 6x4 prints out in a minute or so. It also has the capability of printing direct onto white coated CD/DVDs if you want to make your Disks look smart!
I get my ink from eBay, and this does not seem to massively affect the quality of printouts but is much cheaper. The set up is very straightforward.
The printer has a little LCD screen that gives out status messages and other information, so it is worth remembering this before you ...
