Cheaper than online dating …
Review of Tally Colour Laser 8008 by
Plymyphil
Advantages: Attractive, quiet, very fast
Disadvantages: Expensive, unreliable, ridiculous pricing structure for consumables that fail
The Tally 8008 looks stunning. It stands proud in the corner of our ICT Suite offering visitors a tangible sensation of cutting edge reprographics. The best way to admire the machine however is on 'standby' for when you begin to demand of it the Tally 8008 provides a fantastic advert for other printing companies. Fortunately, the Tally came with a five year on site warranty, hence my lead for this review; "Cheaper than online dating …". Our administrator ... ...has of her own husband. Tally field services is stored on the phone's of most of those with the authority to initiate a field call.
So, what makes this machine so unreliable? I wish I knew. As a school potentially we do give the machine heavy use but then it is sold as a workgroup printer and consequently we should be permitted to expect the printer to function effectively on a small network. Unfortunately, the Tally 8008 has an array of consumable ...

Good quality printer, fair price
Review of OKI C 3300n by
goldfishlou
Advantages: Inexpensive, networked, good-quality output, inexpensive toner
Disadvantages: Could be faster
The OKI 3300n is a professional piece of kit. OKI isn't the most obvious brand, but we were lucky enough to see several of their more recent products demonstrated at a trade show. The design of the gear is nothing very visually special, but the print quality is simply excellent. As a result of that meeting, we picked up one of these for small business use, and liked it enough that we bought another.
On the one hand, there's a temptation to buy all-in-one ... ...is a very good printer. OKI build quality is pretty good. Print quality is outstanding, especially given the relatively high colour print speed of 12ppm. It goes without saying that if you're after a plain black-and-white device, this is not the one to go for. If you're not looking for a printer with network capabilities (and if you're not in an office environment, there's a reasonable likelihood that you aren't) then again this is unlikely to be ...

OKI lazer printer cheap and cheerful
Review of OKI C 3200 by
giles-y
Advantages: Cheap, Quick
Disadvantages: Heavy, running cost
The Oki C3200 lazer printer was great value purchase. i got mine for £160 which for a lazer printer full of toner is actually quite cheap.
the printer its self is quite big and can only do up to A4. it also weights a bit so pick a spot where it will live because you wont ever feel like moving it.
Using 4 color toner cartridiges (cyan, magenta, yellow, black.) the printer preduces great quality prints, thats once it warms, takes about 2mins in my ... ...the pages one after another almost no pause between pages, it seems to take less than 2 seconds per page. For the size of this printer i was suprised that it only holds 500 sheets of paper which means regular trips back to it. the upkeep can work out expencive depending on how much you use it toner prices start at £24 for 1,500 page black cartdrige then £43 for each other color so a whole set of cartdriges costs £153 which is just £7 short of the ...

Review of HP PhotoSmart 7350 by
Nann
Advantages: brilliant color photos, easily used with computer, nice looking machine, not noisy!
Disadvantages: quite slow to print, but worth the wait, double sided printing requires accessory, more cost
...photos, thank heavens I found HP Photosmart, it is quieter than the other two, easy to connect to computer, has four slots for different media cards thank heavens, (I have just changed digital camera, new one has stick and not card as previous camera) I am also able to download photos for friends and family with different type of media.
I wish it would print both sides, but unfortunately you have to buy a special cartridge, I think it should be ... ...very surprised at the amount of photos plus printing that I obtained from the cartridge, so not as expensive as first thought.
Most of the time I find I can use 'normal mode' for printing photos, sometime 'Best mode' has too much ink, unlike my previous printer which always had to be in best mode. obviously this saves on ink, trial and error will soon make sure you use the correct mode.
I am very pleased with this printer and would certainly recommend ...

Lexmark is very reliable
Review of Lexmark X3580 by
lulabell87
Advantages: wifi, screen
Disadvantages: 2 separate ink cartridges
...ago, i have always had lexmark printers, and i really liked the design of this one. It is an all in one, so a printer, scanner and copier, and the price ranges from around £30-50 which i think is reasonably good value for money. It takes two print cartridges, one black on colour, the numbers are 3 and 4 cartridges respectively, which are also fairly cheap. at between £13-18 depending on where you purchase them, I find the fact that it has separate ... ...just have one cartridge for both, as i personally use a lot more black than colour, so i only have to replace whichever one is needed as opposed to the whole cartridge, when there may still be colour ink left in it. It has an extendable tray which you can pull out while it is printing to catch the paper, and the buttons are easy to use. It was also very easy to install, with no major problems arising. It also has a good warning system of when the ...
