Good value for what it is
Review of Lexmark Z 1420 by
scott1994
Advantages: Looks good, fast print speed
Disadvantages: Average print quality, unsightly power box
This printer is excellent once set-up. It prints quickly, efficiently and without problem on a iMac and a PC. It also comes with excellent software for the PC and is easy to set up via USB. However, when setting up this printer via Wi-fi using a iMac, it is a Nightmare!!
Firstly, the instruction book is useless and didn't cover the problems I encountered. Secondly, the printer kept losing connection with the iMac, and I still don't know why!!!
... ...the like, it was ridiculously hard to configure the printer when it lost connection with the iMac, as i had no way of communicating with the printer!!!
Apart from this, the printer is quite good for the money
It's print quality is reasonably (you aren't going to be able to print photos etc. with it but perfectly good for text etc.)
The print speed is quite good but sometimes, when the server is busy, downloading things or the like, it can be quite ...

Sound performance for minimal investment
Review of Lexmark Z 1320 by
kevstat
Advantages: Easy to use. Replacement ink is easy to find. Above average print quality.
Disadvantages: A bit noisy. Photo print quality isn't the best.
...ink. An all around good product if you're just looking for affordablitiy and general performance. The only downfalls with it are the same as with most Lexmark products...it is a bit noisy and photo print quality isn't the greatest. If photos is your main print project, I'd look elsewhere. ...

STOP PRESS: Average printer
Review of Lexmark Z 845 by
leofluffy69
Advantages: fast, basic, good software provided
Disadvantages: expensive ink, very basic, print quality average.
LEXMARK
----------------
Lexmark was created in 1991 to create printers for businesses and home use. They have continued to expand and are a very popular brand in the printing market. They were the first company to introduce a cheap printer below the £60 mark. They were also leaders in producing 4800 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) and 3600 x 1200 dpi resolutions printer.
I was attracted to the company because of the great reviews and positive comments. ... ...models on the market.
LEXMARK Z845
-----------------------
The Lexmark Z845 printer is basic with the necessary features of a printer. I needed to replace my old printer for the main purpose of printing CV's and letters of application. Obviously I want my work to look good but I didn't want to spend vast amounts on a printer. I have no real need to print photos as I like to get them done professionally in a photo shop, I also find that ink is ...

Good overall but not the best
Review of Lexmark P 915 by
tillyallen
Advantages: Brilliant quality and wide range of card slots.
Disadvantages: Expensive if replacing cartridges each time (DON'T, REFILL INSTEAD!!!!)
The Lexmark P915 is perfect for anyone needing printouts of documents and professional quality photos. The speed of the P915 is quite impressive but not the fastest printer. The quality is superior due to its large consumption of ink per print!! Although the ink is drained out of the cartridge very quickly, they can easily be refilled using a budget refill kit and saves you hundreds of pounds overall. The paper support isnt the best design and sometimes ... ...all if not positioned exactly correct. The wide range of memory card slots of hte P915 allows many cards to be attached but unfortunately for me, my XD card isnt actually recognised by the printer but is by the Olympus camera which came with the bundle (don't know what happened there!!) The ease of use of the P915 is simple; the menu clearly outlines the tools you can use to provide optimum quality such as clean cartridges and test pages. Overall, ...

A printer good for home use
Review of Canon PIXMA IP2500 by
Sweetpea1075
Advantages: Inexpensive, Nice design, modern looking, OK for everyday use
Disadvantages: Noisy, takes ages to start up, goes through ink quickly
...had broken. I have a Canon camera and know that Canon is a good well know brand. It also looks nice and modern and has a nice shiny black finish.
For the jobs that I want it to do at the moment, it performs well, although I am hoping to print out some large photo prints in the near future, so will be upgrading. For standard photos and written documents, it does the job nicely, although some of the colours on the photos did not come out the same ... ...the printer itself, as my PC may not be set up correctly.
The disadvantage is the amount of ink it uses. I have never used so much over the last few months, especially if you are printing out photos - it is not a cheap option. Much cheaper to get them done at processing lab or online. The ink is not cheap for this printer either, compared with other similar printers. Although I have found that even when it says it is empty, there is still actually ...
