Review of Canon PIXMA IP3500 by techno_man_37

Advantages: cheap for what it does
Disadvantages: not alot of features

The canon pixma ip3500 is a great buy, its good quality it looks very cool but best of all its cheap too. In fact this little machine will only cost you around £50, and for a great printer, what more could you ask for. Just because it's a little printer, and its not very expensive, don't just make the assumption that this doesn't print fast. This printer has the capability to print out a massive 25ppm in black text. It prints colour pages out ...
...at 10.4ppm. The print quality isn't amazing, however id say its above average. The black print looks nice and really sharp when printed, and the colour pictures come out fine on this printer when printed. When its all closed up, this printer looks like a nice box, it does have curved sides making it look more stylish and making sure it doesn't poke anyone's eyes out. When not in use all the flaps and panels fold up nice and easy, so that when its ... Read review

Great budget printer.
Review of Canon PIXMA IP1800 by pdmg

Advantages: Excellent text
Disadvantages: No paper tray!

...on my previous experience of Canon printers - I opted for a Pixima with FINE technology. I already have a very good photo printer in the shape of the Epson R800, and an Epson 830U which I use for rough drafts as it is on it's last legs. Fact is, I needed a printer to print decent quality letters and the odd mixed text and image sheet. I previously used an old Canon S520 but it finally gave up the ghost, and I have to say the i1800 - at about a quarter ...
...capable machine. It prints in various modes (high, standard, draft and custom) and in high quality mode, the text is as good as any printer I've seen. It's not fast though, so if you print a lot of text you may want to look at a laser. Printing text over colour (a sample web page) was not so hot, but I don't really care! Photo printing is acceptable, though I didn't buy it for that purpose and only printed one quick pic to get an idea. I imagine ... Read review

A printer good for home use
Review of Canon PIXMA IP2500 by Sweetpea1075

Advantages: Inexpensive, Nice design, modern looking, OK for everyday use
Disadvantages: Noisy, takes ages to start up, goes through ink quickly

...had broken. I have a Canon camera and know that Canon is a good well know brand. It also looks nice and modern and has a nice shiny black finish. For the jobs that I want it to do at the moment, it performs well, although I am hoping to print out some large photo prints in the near future, so will be upgrading. For standard photos and written documents, it does the job nicely, although some of the colours on the photos did not come out the same ...
...the printer itself, as my PC may not be set up correctly. The disadvantage is the amount of ink it uses. I have never used so much over the last few months, especially if you are printing out photos - it is not a cheap option. Much cheaper to get them done at processing lab or online. The ink is not cheap for this printer either, compared with other similar printers. Although I have found that even when it says it is empty, there is still actually ... Read review

For The Computer Stats Illiterate
Review of HP PhotoSmart 7850 by JoeyDrummer17

Advantages: Good Printing Quality, Some Nice HP freebies, Install Plug And Play Easy.
Disadvantages: Slow Colour and Photo printing time, The Price of The HP Cartridges!! Irritating software.

...it was HP or the website's fault, but I shopped around and nabbed a cable for £3. The software that comes with it is also very very annoying! It sets up a few background process (ultimately just slows your computer down) which as far as I can tell do nothing! ... Read review

Good overall but not the best
Review of Lexmark P 915 by tillyallen

Advantages: Brilliant quality and wide range of card slots.
Disadvantages: Expensive if replacing cartridges each time (DON'T, REFILL INSTEAD!!!!)

The Lexmark P915 is perfect for anyone needing printouts of documents and professional quality photos. The speed of the P915 is quite impressive but not the fastest printer. The quality is superior due to its large consumption of ink per print!! Although the ink is drained out of the cartridge very quickly, they can easily be refilled using a budget refill kit and saves you hundreds of pounds overall. The paper support isnt the best design and sometimes ...
...all if not positioned exactly correct. The wide range of memory card slots of hte P915 allows many cards to be attached but unfortunately for me, my XD card isnt actually recognised by the printer but is by the Olympus camera which came with the bundle (don't know what happened there!!) The ease of use of the P915 is simple; the menu clearly outlines the tools you can use to provide optimum quality such as clean cartridges and test pages. Overall, ... Read review
