Good overall but not the best
Review of Lexmark P 915 by tillyallen

Advantages: Brilliant quality and wide range of card slots.
Disadvantages: Expensive if replacing cartridges each time (DON'T, REFILL INSTEAD!!!!)

The Lexmark P915 is perfect for anyone needing printouts of documents and professional quality photos. The speed of the P915 is quite impressive but not the fastest printer. The quality is superior due to its large consumption of ink per print!! Although the ink is drained out of the cartridge very quickly, they can easily be refilled using a budget refill kit and saves you hundreds of pounds overall. The paper support isnt the best design and sometimes ...
...all if not positioned exactly correct. The wide range of memory card slots of hte P915 allows many cards to be attached but unfortunately for me, my XD card isnt actually recognised by the printer but is by the Olympus camera which came with the bundle (don't know what happened there!!) The ease of use of the P915 is simple; the menu clearly outlines the tools you can use to provide optimum quality such as clean cartridges and test pages. Overall, ... Read review

Photo Quality?
Review of Lexmark Z 65p Photo Jetprinter by d247257r

Advantages: Card Reader/2 Paper Trays
Disadvantages: Slow Expensive Cartridges

...few straight edges on it, Lexmark choosing to go with rounded lines. The printer comes by it's self with no USB cable although these are relatively cheap and can also be purchased on-line for a few pounds. The main advantages of this printer are the print quality of photo's and the card reader. I've yet to find a friend with a printer that can better the quality of this printer, although it's slow to print are worth the wait. When printing text ...
...b&w prints, however the paper catcher lets it down, especially if like me it's situated on a shelf above the computer. It has 2 paper trays enabling both glossy and normal paper to be held at any one time. Paper tray 1 has a sensor to enable the computer to automatically work out the paper type. Another minor disadvantage I have found is the printer can make quite a lot of noise when printing. The card reader makes life so much easier and accepts ... Read review

A printer good for home use
Review of Canon PIXMA IP2500 by Sweetpea1075

Advantages: Inexpensive, Nice design, modern looking, OK for everyday use
Disadvantages: Noisy, takes ages to start up, goes through ink quickly

...had broken. I have a Canon camera and know that Canon is a good well know brand. It also looks nice and modern and has a nice shiny black finish. For the jobs that I want it to do at the moment, it performs well, although I am hoping to print out some large photo prints in the near future, so will be upgrading. For standard photos and written documents, it does the job nicely, although some of the colours on the photos did not come out the same ...
...the printer itself, as my PC may not be set up correctly. The disadvantage is the amount of ink it uses. I have never used so much over the last few months, especially if you are printing out photos - it is not a cheap option. Much cheaper to get them done at processing lab or online. The ink is not cheap for this printer either, compared with other similar printers. Although I have found that even when it says it is empty, there is still actually ... Read review

A good printer with added "bits"
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R300 by Carrotts73

Advantages: good print quality, cheap copy cartridges, stand alone if needed
Disadvantages: none really

The Epson R300 is a good low cost Photo Printer. It has lots of useful features, for instance you can print direct from a camera, or pop a memory card into the reader on the front. If you're connected to a PC then it can use the memory card reader as well. It is also possible to attach a Bluetooth module and print direct from a camera phone, but I've not tried this. You can buy a colour LCD for it so that you can preview pictures before you print ...
...and it can knock 6x4 prints out in a minute or so. It also has the capability of printing direct onto white coated CD/DVDs if you want to make your Disks look smart! I get my ink from eBay, and this does not seem to massively affect the quality of printouts but is much cheaper. The set up is very straightforward. The printer has a little LCD screen that gives out status messages and other information, so it is worth remembering this before you ... Read review

HP 7260
Review of HP PhotoSmart 7260 by makro74

Advantages: Excellent quick printing, photos just add icing on the cake
Disadvantages: Paper jams for drafts

...relatively quick speed (depending on settings). But beware of using draft prints as this for some reason causes the printer to jam or crumple through the process. Ink catridges suprisingly outlast any other inkjet I have owned. HP 56, 57, 58 are used in this machine. ... Read review
