Review of Xerox Phaser 8400B by
blondgem
Advantages: quality prints
Disadvantages: bit slow now, lot less features than up to date models
...may perform in-house.
The Xerox Phaser 8400 is what I call my back up plan, used occasionally, when I may have ran out on consumables for my other printers of if I want to get a job done quick, I may use them all at the same time.
All our printers are leased and unfortunately the Phaser 8400 is no longer available to purchase or lease as new anymore, however some companies do offer ex-demonstration machines and you may be able to acquire one of ... ...as good as the latest Xerox models that are available. The rate for black and white is also the same 24 pages per minute.
The printer has one tray that you can load with a maximum size of A4. It is capable of taking a ream of paper, 500 sheets, however I have found if you do fill it to its capacity, it does tend to jam so I receommend to fill it half full to prevent this from occurring as it is a bit of pain having to get up every second to unblock ...

The best printer I have ever used.
Review of Xerox Phaser 8400DP by
robmarks
Advantages: Stunning print quality, fast, easy to use, takes varied stock
Disadvantages: Yet to find one!
...much consideration I purchased the Xerox Phaser 8400DP. The spec was what drew me to this particular printer. Duplex as standard, solid colour technology, ability to take card stock and fast print time. At around £1000 this printer might seem expense but in this case it's worth every penny.
After warm up, which is little slow, the printer is super fast, churning out copies (including colour) at an incredible speed. Despite this, the quality of the ... ...to the solid colour technology that is used. Run glossy paper through the machine on full colour prints and the final product looks great.
This version comes with duplex as standard. This has turned out to be really useful. Being able to double side colour/mono documents automatically makes life much easier and cheaper with a multi-page document.
The Phaser 8400DP can take thicker paper stock, allowing you to use card, transparencies, labels etc ...

Lexmark is very reliable
Review of Lexmark X3580 by
lulabell87
Advantages: wifi, screen
Disadvantages: 2 separate ink cartridges
...ago, i have always had lexmark printers, and i really liked the design of this one. It is an all in one, so a printer, scanner and copier, and the price ranges from around £30-50 which i think is reasonably good value for money. It takes two print cartridges, one black on colour, the numbers are 3 and 4 cartridges respectively, which are also fairly cheap. at between £13-18 depending on where you purchase them, I find the fact that it has separate ... ...just have one cartridge for both, as i personally use a lot more black than colour, so i only have to replace whichever one is needed as opposed to the whole cartridge, when there may still be colour ink left in it. It has an extendable tray which you can pull out while it is printing to catch the paper, and the buttons are easy to use. It was also very easy to install, with no major problems arising. It also has a good warning system of when the ...

Canon Pixma mp 460 - Fantastic all in one
Review of Canon Pixma MP460 by
panther23
Advantages: lcd display, durability, optional Bluetooth connection, qualitys, speed, design, functionality, rich software, reliability
Disadvantages: could be litle smaller
...mode is much quieter.
Canon has a number of standard, automatic cleaning procedures:
- standard cleaning eliminating unwanted smudges and lines in the print result
- Deep cleaning unclogging nozzles that can not be cleaned by regular cleaning
- Bottom plate cleaning which prevents paper smudges during printing
- Roller cleaning gives smoother paper feeding
Ink (Canon FINE (Full-lithography inkjet Nozzle Engineering) - 4-ink)
Inks does what ... ...outs. My one lasts for 8 months already and still did not have to replace them. Fact is that I' am not a printing maniac. I use them only when I need them. It is about 3-5 times a week. The cost of new ink varies from capacity. There are different options available on a market. That is good as you can suit size to your budget or if printing a lot buy bigger ink. Black costs about £11 and colour £16. For me it is not expensive. Quality costs.

Canon Pixma iP4300 Printer
Review of Canon PIXMA iP 4300 by
kindlyraccoon
Advantages: Two paper trays. Ability to print onto CD discs. Quiet
Disadvantages: Cost of original cartridges.
When I first bought the canon printer and got it out of the box, I felt that I had a printer that was sturdy and solid. The reason why a lot of people complain when they are in the shop is that there is never a cable with the printer. Again this is no exception. So either you buy a new one or hopefully, like me you had one from your last printer. The black and silver trim make it look quite smart, making you want to leave it out in the open. Really ... ...At first the cartridges from Canon were ok but I find at £8 each it does get expensive. I started to use compatible ones. Now then, if you go this route, people say that they break the printer. I have found this not to be true in my situation. The problem is when you have to change the chip over from one cartridge to another. A little tool is provided to remove the chip and some double sided tape for sticking it back on the new one. I have had a ...
