Good value for money Network Colour Printer
Review of Epson AcuLaser C900N by
stevo707
Advantages: Good print quality
Disadvantages: only Windows compatible
Bought one of these for a workgroup of 20 and got it working and printing from network within 30 minutes. One small problem was I couldn't seem to get the Add Network Printer option to work for the clients with full compatibility for Monitoring etc. We added the printer as "local" and pointed to the printers IP address, it worked fine. The print quality was better than expected. I found it better than a Lexmark we evaluated which was more than twice ... ...no banding on block colour prints and the speed is good. One worthwhile upgrade is to expand the memory, ours is maxed out to 144mb (£50) and it hadles large powerpoint files without any problems. If you have a larger user base or are constantly colour printing all day, there may be more cost effective solutions long term as the toner is quite pricey. Only other drawback is it only supports printing from Windows clients, but that said it has been ...

c900 heaven
Review of Epson AcuLaser C900 by
hillateren
Advantages: high quality prints, fast, cheap to run
Disadvantages: bulky
...a great addition to the epson range.
this printer is of an affordable price and the cartridges are reasonable. i use mine for alot of photos (the quality on even inkjet photo paper is fantastic). the speed of the printer is pretty fast too, your first print can take around 30 seconds due to the warm up process however every print after that is seconds, i have had mine for about a year now and is still going strong. the cost of the cartridges are ... ...if you want a cheaper alternative you can by refill kits and recycled cartridges for alot cheaper.
The only issue i had was the bulky size howevr a wireless print server and and spare room came in very handy.

Blink and you've missed it!
Review of Epson AcuLaser C4100 by
nuttynaomi
Advantages: Extremely Fast
Disadvantages: Not to keen on a cold room!
The Epson C4100 - Here's my review on it.
Hope you enjoy reading it and thanks.
------------------------------------------------
We have had one of these Epson c4100 in the office for just over a year now, and it has been amazing. It probably one of the best buys our office has made in years!
Now,a couple of months ago we bought another to assist in the work load.
I've worked out that it can churn out 50 pretty average content pages in just ... ...down side of them is...the parts to replace them.
our first machine started wearing out parts about 6 months ago and had done well over 30,000 sheets.
the photoconductor was the most exensive part at about £300 from memory. The toners ranged from aprox £20 for the black one and up to about £100 for the colour ones. its not a cheap baby to run but well worth buying one.
We have bought extra trays for it aswell so it now has 3 full trays that will ...

Good Colour Laser for the Price
Review of Epson AcuLaser C1900PS by
joanna2972
Advantages: Small, Easy to use, comes with a network Card, 500 sheet cassette
Disadvantages: Slow to warm up sometimes, toner is a little pricey
We've had this printer at work for almost a year now and never had a problem with it. Unike most colour laser printers this one is quite tall so doesn't take up as much space which is useful in our office. Setting up the printer was easy, the drivers & manual are on the CD & it wasn't long until everyone was printing to it. The network card is very useful as it allows all the people on our network to print directly to it. It comes with 96 MB of RAM ... ...we print a lot of large image files). The 500-sheet cassette tray is extremely useful as you can just put in a packet of paper and not worry about have to fill the printer back up with paper constantly.
The print quality is good, with good colour sensitivity. Print speed is ok to good, once the printer has warmed up. Changing toner & fixing the very occasional jam is easy. The Web based configuration page is very useful as you can change settings; ...
