Lexmark printer - ideal for me?
Review of Lexmark Z 617 by bublums6

Advantages: easy 2 use, a range of printing techniques
Disadvantages: read on

I bought this printer and it offers good colour quality. As ink ject printer, it is slow but it id good quality and you can print leaflets, flyers as we. The picture quality isn't perfect but it is alright for personal use at home. I found the printing speed average on pictures and document. The colour on output is good as long as your settings are good which you do at the start up. It is easy to use and you connect it by USB and the installation ...

good quality cheap printer
Review of Lexmark Z 601 Color Jetprinter by techymasterj

Advantages: Cheap, good quality, easy to install, shows ink levels, small, compact, USB
Disadvantages: ink is expensive

...disadvantage is the price of Lexmark ink, you could buy another printer for less! There is ways around this. Tesco's also sell there own brand ink which is half the price and of course there are refills. I personally buy ink on EBay very cheapley. If you are looking for a good quality printer, mainly for home use - I strongly recommend this one. ... Read review

OK for under £40
Review of Lexmark Z 645 by curious_k

Advantages: cheap, good for black ink, easy to buy cartridges, "low ink" warning
Disadvantages: annoying software, not so good for colour printing or high quality stuff

...this option from within the Lexmark options screen (via Control Panel), unless you like to hear "Printing started!" in chirpy American every time you press print. Usefully, it'll monitor ink levels and warn you when they get low, with a link to the supplier's website. I get good results generally with black ink, variable with colour (sometimes either the blue or red ink seems to 'cut out'). Occasionally pulls in the paper at a wonky angle, say 1 ... Read review

A not very good machine
Review of Lexmark Z 640 by milc03

Advantages: Cheap, prints
Disadvantages: Breaks, low printing, not good colour

I bought this printer a couple of years ago and since then it has been nothing but trouble. It was OK to start with, printing at a good speed, good colour. But, however after about a year the printing began to become so slow it takes an eternity to print one page. Also, the colour isn't as good as it used to be so we are printing sub-standard things. Recently, the printer has given up completely and we cannot print at all. The printer is quite hard ... Read review

Lexmark Z615
Review of Lexmark Z 615 by twist197666

Advantages: Good Quality Word Processing, Light, Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Poor picture quality, Expensive Ink, Uses a lot of ink.

I got the printer with my laptop when I bought it. In my experience it uses a lot of ink. I have bought ink for it on average every 2 months and I don't even print a lot from it. The printer ink for it is usually around £35 for black and £30 for colour, if you get them re-filled it is only £19 but it is still a lot of ink considering I am a student. I have had to buy more ink than my friend who is doing English and prints off everyday. Also I have ...
...print, I don't move my printer around so I can't understand why this is. In turn with me having to do printer aligning, it wastes even more ink. I have also found that if you use the printer for printing photos, the quality isn't really that good. The quality is faded and sometimes turns up "spotty" white. On the other hand, if word processing is your main use for the printer, it is very good word printing. It is fairly fast, and good quality. The ... Read review
