Xerox Phaser 6110
Review of Xerox Phaser 6110 by Blimped

Advantages: Cheap colour laser, compact, easy to set up and use
Disadvantages: Noisy, slow, toner refills too small and difficult to obtain

The 6110 printing quality is very good in both colour & b&w even in draft mode. The unit is compact and simple in design. The print speed in b&w is adequate for home use but might be a bit slow for business use. Colour is too slow for anything other than a few copies. The machine is very reasonably priced and compares favourably with other similar printers spech wise. Downside is the small paper tray (250 sheets) and no add on available. Initial ... Read review

Good enough
Review of Xerox Phaser 6110N by thewhitewolf

Advantages: small, affordable
Disadvantages: low output

...to business ink-jet printers by Xerox and i wouldn't argue with that at the price that it is sold at. A colour laser printer that is small and manageable its one of many printers in my workplace and heps churn out the vast amounts of corporate information we provide. Its very easy to use and is compatible with your PC or your Mac. Output is quite low at 4 pages per minute in colour and16 per minute in black and white. At 2400 x 600 Image Quality ... Read review

Finally a good pinter
Review of Brother HL 2040 by cja5

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: USB connection

I was despirate to buy a new printer as cartridges where costing me a fortune and so laser was the way forward. I am a student so I was on a budget and I saw this printer was priced well and bit the bullet. I am very surprised by it actually. It is a little temporamentle to set up with the USB especially if you are still running 1.1.....but after that it is plain sailing. I have had it over a year now and am still using the free cartridge that has ...
...printing slightl;y to excess and still it is going strong. It prints very fast and the quality (when st to high - photo) is exceptional. This is definately one to consider when you want a printer. The free cartridge lasts for what seems like ever and it is so easy to use ..... plug it in (finally set it up) and you are away. It was be a litle hot sometimes that conerns me but it hasn't had anything happen to it. I liked it so much I bought a second ... Read review

Great cheap compact colour laser printer
Review of Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W by thereddragon

Advantages: Value for money, excellent print quality, compact size
Disadvantages: Can only be used with Windows - no Mac or Linux drivers

...- though having had several Konica and/or Minolta products over the years, I have always found the products to be quality ones. The compact size of this printer is a huge bonus - not being much larger than an inkjet printer makes it easy to position in a convenient place (bearing in mind that it is very heavy!). I have mine set up on a (strong) shelf, which I had not expected to be able to do with a colour laser printer - as someone who works in ...
...weight!) of small fridges, so the dimensions of the Magicolor were a very pleasant surprise! Ease of use is also a big plus - the operator panel is easy to see and interpret, and getting to the cartridges is a doddle. Looking into the prices of replacement cartridges for similiar small, personal colour laser printers, I found that replacement cartridges for this printer were the cheapest, which was also one of the things that sold me on it. A fantastic little machine.
Review of Konica Minolta Magicolor 2500W by leinorackham

Advantages: compact, fast, good quality prints, economical to run, good price
Disadvantages: start up noise (But I think this is the same with most laser printers)

We tried to buy a Magicolor 2400 but printerland.co.uk had sold out and offered this machine for only a very little more. We paid £175 (GBP) including VAT. My first print was an A4 colour photo onto budget 80 gsm office paper and the print quality was as good as our old HP inkjet and so much faster. The picture quality was good enough to frame and hang on the wall. Although maybe not as sharp as it might have been had it been professionally printed, ...
...It popped out in under 5 seconds - much faster than the manufacturer's specs. What we bought this for was to print brochures for my wife's business. It churns out good quality prints on 100gsm textured paper much cheaper than if we went to a printers - and it gives us the flexibility of changing the brochure regularly. My wife is very pleased with it. (A print run at a professional printers would have cost almost as much as the printer.) It comes ... Read review
