good quality cheap printer
Review of Lexmark Z 601 Color Jetprinter by
techymasterj
Advantages: Cheap, good quality, easy to install, shows ink levels, small, compact, USB
Disadvantages: ink is expensive
...disadvantage is the price of Lexmark ink, you could buy another printer for less! There is ways around this. Tesco's also sell there own brand ink which is half the price and of course there are refills. I personally buy ink on EBay very cheapley.
If you are looking for a good quality printer, mainly for home use - I strongly recommend this one. ...

Great Small Printer
Review of Lexmark Z 13 Color Jetprinter by
iancozens12
Advantages: Small
Disadvantages: only one cartridge at a time
I bought my Z13 at a car boot for only £5 - a real bargain, as it also came with a colour ink cartridge, not used. I got it home and put it in the small space available and it fitted perfectly.
It looks really neat and tidy if you fold it all up and can be hidden away in a corner or on a shelf,
It is compatible with all the computers I have owned. It connects using USB. The worst thing about this printer as it only has one ink cartridge which means ... ...ink. There are 4 compatible cartridges for this printer, 17,27,16,26. SOFTWARE
The software was well set out and very easy to use, and has a lot of functions and the help system is great. and I was impressed as I have had problems with all other USB printers I have owned.
It was fast enough for me and it printed photos overall I am very impressed with it and the print cartridge is still going and i have had it 3 months. ...

Lexmark Z42, Worth the paper it will print on?
Review of Lexmark Z 42 Color Jetprinter by
The_a_team
Advantages: fast reliable printer
Disadvantages: can print slightly bent, pages may be fed out too fast
This printer by Lexmark is a very good and reliable. It can print 5 pages per minute in colour and 10 pages per minute in black and white.
It can be recogined by every Operating System I have tried it on. This includes Windows 98SE and XP.
The printer contains two main buttons. these are the on off button and the test button. The on off does exactly that, and the test sends a peice of paper through the printer.
The printer wil hold around 30 pages ... ...more that one sheet, although this dosnt happen often, it does happen.
It isnt the noisest printer ever but without a door between it and another room you can hear it printing. At the bottom of the printer there is an extendable tray for printer sheets. this is good enough to print maybe 5 pages but if you are doing a lot of printing you may find sheets on the floor after the printer flings them out after printing. The printer will print the pages ...

It beats the rest
Review of Lexmark Z 52 Color Jetprinter by
ruthtay
Advantages: fast, efficient and good quality pictures
Disadvantages: The size of printer
The Lexmark Z52 is one of the best printers on the market, it looks quite big and bulky but is quite lightweight.
What a fantastic printer. It talks to you, and is extremely polite. When your printer is offline or if you have no paper in it tells you and when you put your paper in it says thank you. The quality of the printing is excellent, especially when printing photographs or pictures with vivid colour in. Every few months they send you a cd ...

Lexmark Z53 tried and trusted
Review of Lexmark Z 53 Color Jetprinter by
moaning1
Advantages: Great little printer from a trusted Brand Name
Disadvantages: The usual one for printers - cheap printer - expensive ink!
...owned my trusty little color Lexmark Z53 for several years. It was cheap when I bought it at about £60 so you should be able to pick one up for peanuts now.
OK it's not up to the "as true as life" digital printing that todays top-end models are but I have used it quite satisfactorily for photo reproduction without problem.
Easy to use, easy to change cartridges, cheap as chips, reliable, good printing speed. Good for colour or general text work.
... ...never cheap. Lexmark ones are around £22 for Black, £25 for Colour. But they do last a good while for general use and many third parties make perfectly good cartridges suitable for this machine at around £17 for Black £20 for colour.
You can also of course use a refill kit if you wish but seeing the mess I made when I last tried to use one I'd rather buy cartridges :)
All in all a good little printer giving good value for money over the years. ...
