good quality cheap printer
Review of Lexmark Z 601 Color Jetprinter by
techymasterj
Advantages: Cheap, good quality, easy to install, shows ink levels, small, compact, USB
Disadvantages: ink is expensive
...disadvantage is the price of Lexmark ink, you could buy another printer for less! There is ways around this. Tesco's also sell there own brand ink which is half the price and of course there are refills. I personally buy ink on EBay very cheapley.
If you are looking for a good quality printer, mainly for home use - I strongly recommend this one. ...

Decent cheap printer
Review of Canon i 320 by
random76
Advantages: Cheap, good quality
Disadvantages: Quite noisy
I spent a fair amount of time researching printers before I bought this one just over a year ago and I am very satisfied with it.
Mostly I use it for text only but I have printed out a short book of pictures with it (as a present) and it was good quality. I’m sure there are better printers, but they are far more expensive. The i320 is a good quality cheap printer. The ink cartridges are fairly cheap too, which is a bonus. I have been using Canon-compatible ... ...yet) without any trouble. It’s not a particularly quiet printer, but neither is it the noisiest I’ve heard. If it’s in your bedroom I wouldn’t leave it printing while you’re in bed, but apart from that it’s not too loud. My only real complaint is that it doesn't come with any kind of tray to catch the printed pages. Apart from that I'd recommend it without hesitation. ...

Release the Beast!
Review of HP Business Inkjet 3000 by
random8
Advantages: Fast, accurate colours, great photos, separate colour cartridges
Disadvantages: Huge, hand feed tray tricky to use
This printer is a beast. A bit of overkill for us as it is currently only used by 2 different work stations. We bought this printer as we wanted accurate colours for leaflets and flyers we produced ourselves of photo quality on plain paper - this machine delivers!
However delivery of the machine was not as easy - our office is at home and the box only just passed through the front door. It takes two to lift the printer sensibly - or one brave strong ... ...with wheels so that we can move it easily, although this is just for cleaning behind it occasionally. This machine prints accurately and clearly on all types of paper we have used from 60g copy paper to card, from tape labels to transparancy.
We have owned this machine for over 3 years and have never had to call anyone out - just what you expect from HP.
The cartridges are extremely easy to change - you just open a hatch on the side of the front ...

CAD printer it is!
Review of HP Deskjet 1220c by
migitaldave
Advantages: Fast, cheap, A3
Disadvantages: slightly impared and slower on pictures
...Only ever buy Epsom, Never HP or Lexmark - because of the cost of ink. So when i started my new job as a design engineer, and i was given one of these printers with a monstrous cost of ink, i inquired why we didn't use Epsom. I was told i would see why soon enough..
so i soldiered on - and it occurred to me that up to this day i have not changed a single cartridge...it has been 11 MONTHS!
11 Months without a cartridge change, and they only cost ...

HP Deskjet 3550
Review of HP Deskjet 3550 by
mrowli
Advantages: Cheap, Average Quality Printing
Disadvantages: Noisy, Quality Not Amazing
Well what can i say i bought this printer when i was out looking for something to replace my old knackered printer. I was looking for something cheap but which would allow me to print basic documents and graphics.
Well im pleased to say i found those features in this printer and more! The printer is quite fast and can print a handful of black and white documents within a reasonable time. Also when printing in colour the quality is much more than ... ...when put on my wall look great!
The printer takes standard well known cartridges which can be bought at almost any stockist of computer related equipment at very competitive prices! The cartridges also dont run out too quickly which was a surprise as they are quite small!
Overall this printer is well worth its price and i would reccommend it to anyone who wants decent quality document printing but nothing too fancy! ...
