Review of Canon S 330 Photo by
newb00ts
Advantages: Excellent print quality
Disadvantages: slightly flimsy
I had been relying on an old black and white printer for far too long. My girlfriend spotted this one and bought it and after hearing good things from her I purchased it from PC World for £69.99.
----Style----
I actually think the printer is quite good looking. It has a smoked perspex front which opens outwards to allow access to the two ink cartridges and the printer head and the paper adjustment lever. Unfortunately it still follows the rather ... ...all its not bad looking and perhaps most importantly it looks and feels solid and well built. Only two buttons are on the printer itself these are the power and cancel button situated on the top just behind the smoked perspex cover. The only problems with the design are the output and input tray which are particulary flimsy and make the printer rather larger once attached. Due to the limited space I have for this printer I don't bother with the output ...

Very Average
Review of HP PhotoSmart 7150 by
querth
Advantages: HP paper tray arrangement
Disadvantages: Tri colour cartridges, no borderless printing
Overview
The HP PhotoSmart 7150 is, as the name suggests, a printer designed for printing photos. This basically means you get a few extra features over an ‘ordinary’ HP DeskJet printer:
Firstly the black cartridge can be removed and replaced with a photo cartridge containing 2 extra colours – light cyan and light magenta, plus black. These improve the range of colours the printer can reproduce for better quality photo output. Secondly the printer ... ...are limited to a few HP models.
Form and Styling
The printer follows the classic HP inkjet design – paper goes in at the front from a paper tray and follows a U shaped path, emerging again from the front of the printer into an output tray on top of the input tray. This quite a convenient design as it means you don’t need much access to the top or back of the printer so it can tucked away in a small space. A lid on the top of the printer allows ...

FOOLPROOF FOTOS.
Review of HP PhotoSmart 1218 by
Newfloridian
Advantages: Simple installation, brilliant results
Disadvantages: None
...At the time (Year 2000) HP advertised a price for the P1218 of $ 499.00 (I bought mine from dabs for £ 290 including VAT); the P1000 was $299.00 (dabs – £219). I picked the P1218 as the highest specified option. Dabsdirect delivered it overnight from stock.
ON ARRIVAL
Once out of the box two things were immediately apparent. There was no supplied printer cable (HP was advertising a special package with a free USB cable in the US). The supplied ... ...4: My first print
HP photosuite software is extremely simple to use. It allows access to the files on the flash card of the camera which are shown as thumb prints. It can also access .jpg files on the computer’s hard disk or on other storage medium. I chose four images that I downloaded into the print software. There is a menu which presents a wide range of different sizes and shapes of output (a single A4 print – right down to multiple passport ...

Review of HP PhotoSmart 1215 by
jamiem
Advantages: Very Easy To Use, Good Quality Print-outs
Disadvantages: Not The Cheapest Cartridges In The World
...quality (this is something that HP pride themselves upon).
----Conclusion----
Overall a very very good printer. Loads of features, amazing quality and robust (been using it for about 6-8 months with no problems). The main problem is that due to the cost of paper (about £10 for 20 sheets of glossy A4) and the cost of cartridges it is still more expensive to run than taking your films to be professionally developed. You do however get the luxury ...
