Excellent product - BEST ON THE MARKET
Review of DYMO LabelWriter 400 by
tailorsanjay
Advantages: Quick, Small, Quiet, EASY to use, user friendly software, easy to deploy on the network
Disadvantages: Its too good!
...definitely THE BEST!
The Dymo LabelWriter is amazing. It works via a network switch and print server when most printers/other label writers do not work. Its small, its SO user friendly with the DYMO Label Software. Its very very easy to fix faults when they arise (not very often) and its very quick and quiet.
The LabelWriter software itself is one of a kind - it allows you to print labels in batches, via an addin in Word, Excel and Powerpoint - ... ...is excellent, especially with the DYMO personalified labels. I have 10 of these in my organisation and they are becoming extremely popular. The cost of these little things are next to none - most other label writers cost over £130!! Its so good that I've bought one for my own use at home.
I would definitely recommend this product. ...

Great Little Label Writer
Review of DYMO LabelWriter 400 Turbo by
Blondie1005
Advantages: High
Disadvantages: No Colour Option
The Dymo Labelwriter 400 turbo is a superb little printer which comes with its own software that is really easy to use. It offers functions including barcode printing, plus add-ins for instant printing from Microsoft Word, Outlook, QuickBooks, ACT!, Goldmine, Palm Desktop version 4 or later, WordPerfect® and more. This little printer offers speeds of 55 labels a minute, an average of just over a second per label. However this never seems to happen ... ...I use the Labelwriter connected to my pc via a usb cable with no problems. I also have enabled sharing for it so other people can use it to. However these is a draw back with this that it can be quite slow printing when someone else prints. (Note this could be because of Pc but I am unable to prove/disprove this).
In conclusion this is a great little label printer if you aren't printing 100's of labels at a time. ...

Debiuk

...you want to use genuine Dymo or compatiable labels. Printing is quick and a bit noisy but nothing to disturbing. I have found the Dymo Customer Services extremely easy to deal with and very helpful with complete followup from the staff. Any problem resolved quickly and in a professional manner.
All in all, I highly recommend this item and should it have to be replaced, I would definitely purchase another. ...

Good older printer
Review of HP LaserJet 4000n by
nig6
Advantages: Quick, reliable and good quality
Disadvantages: Old now and only black and white
I have one of these as my printer and work, and have used the same model for many years.
The printer does look dated now to be honest, as it is an older design, but it looks functional and has an LCD screen on the top of the printer that shows the menus and error messages.
Below the screen is a green button to turn the printer on and offline and a couple of other buttons to navigate the simple to use menu.
This is an A4 printer so will only print ... ...and the manual feed. There is an indicator on the outside of the paper tray to show how much paper is in the printer without removing the tray - very useful!
As this is only a mono laser printer, naturally it only prints in black and white, it is very quick to print and the quality is very good.
This printer is very easy to use, changing the cartridge is really easy too!
So in summary, a good printer not manufactured anymore - but parts and consumables ...
