Quality over Quantity
Review of HP OfficeJet K7100 by joe-survey

Advantages: Great quality
Disadvantages: Slow, high cost

...printer in question was the HP OfficeJet K7100. It retails around £190 and was of far higher quality than the other school printers. My experience I was printing one black and white sheet of guitar tablature. There was not a lot of printing to be done and i expected it to be out by the time reached the printer. This, however, was not the case. It didn't take too long but for what i was printing i thought it was a while. (It took around 40 seconds). ...
...plain sheet, but from past experience i know it can print in very good quality. A full colour sheet will come out in great detail and it can print photographs in great detail too. The only thing i will say was that it was a little smudged. Whether that was me or not i am not sure. It cost me 5p for a black and white sheet, although this was through the school. The real cost is listed below. I was very happy with my Media practical, a music magazine, ... Read review

It Does Its Job!
Review of HP Deskjet D1460 by eggandmushroom

Advantages: Compact, Reliable, Easy to move around
Disadvantages: Only use for personal or home use

...a standard job. Being HP I havent had any major problems, and it was easy to set up to laptop and another home computer. The model is standard but this printer is always reliable and with 16ppm you are not always waiting around for prints if you are on the move. Overall a sound printer. ... Read review

what a picture
Review of Canon PIXMA IP3500 by techno_man_37

Advantages: cheap for what it does
Disadvantages: not alot of features

The canon pixma ip3500 is a great buy, its good quality it looks very cool but best of all its cheap too. In fact this little machine will only cost you around £50, and for a great printer, what more could you ask for. Just because it's a little printer, and its not very expensive, don't just make the assumption that this doesn't print fast. This printer has the capability to print out a massive 25ppm in black text. It prints colour pages out ...
...at 10.4ppm. The print quality isn't amazing, however id say its above average. The black print looks nice and really sharp when printed, and the colour pictures come out fine on this printer when printed. When its all closed up, this printer looks like a nice box, it does have curved sides making it look more stylish and making sure it doesn't poke anyone's eyes out. When not in use all the flaps and panels fold up nice and easy, so that when its ... Read review

Cheap and chick
Review of Canon PIXMA IP1800 by alexloukakis

Advantages: Value for money, design
Disadvantages: Size, no paper tray

I was looking for a printer that would be good value for money. I came across the Epson iP1800 and I really fell for the colour and design and its glossy finish. What dissapointed me though was that their was no cable inside, which was to cost me another £10-15 to purchase and no paper tray for prints, somethin I have never before seen missing in a printer. The iP1800s printing quality is perfect for me, but it was a little disspointing when I printed ...
...still the images where not as impressive as my last HP printer. The software which it came with was very basic, just photo printing tools. Overall however, it is exceptional value for money, and it's design will allow the printer to fit in with most surroundings and decorational tastes. The main drawbacks for me where the size and the fact that their was no cable inside. ... Read review

The inkjet that likes to think it's a laser
Review of HP OfficeJet Pro K5400 by sadoldbag

Advantages: Reasonable printing costs, quick print speed, very good quality in both colour and B/W
Disadvantages: It could be smaller

The HP Officejet Pro K5400 costs about £80 (it depends where you get it from) and its marketing point is that it is supposed to be the world's fastest desktop printer for business color. I'n not quite sure what the differnce between business colour and other sorts of colour are, but hey, who's worrying! It's a good machine to have if you want a reasonable nod towards a colour laser printer, but don't actually want the expense and desk space of owning ...
...It works really well with HP photo paper (I've done a separate review of that if anyone is interested). It prints in 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution in black and white and 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution in colour. In terms of desk space, it's about average - I find all HP printers quite bulky, but it sits nicely on top of a filing cabinet. Printing costs are not bad. You have black and colour cartridges and standard refills cost about £17 each. That's quite ... Read review
